Ong Cheng Huat Seafood 王清发海鲜 Bagan Lallang

The restaurant has this very similar set up to Sitiawan seafood restaurants; vast seating capacity with round tables that can fit an extended family comfortably, high ceiling to generate a sense of space and airiness (you definitely need the latter, as there is no air-conditioning here), and selection of simple Chinese cooking (only a few dishes available daily, I will go more into that later) served with a refreshing albeit slightly intoxicating coconut wine or toddy.

The restaurant is now expanded and become cleaner compare to our first visit. Food served still the same which only limited to a few dishes but best thing is they maintain the great flavor but slightly more expensive now.

This is definitely one of my favorite places to think of when it comes to Octopuses and Fresh Fish Head.

Ong Cheng Huat Seafood is famous with its baby chicken and steamed fish (and coconut rum) in which customers from far are thrilled for a visit.
