I think the 50% Discount offer on Dim Sum for week-day lunch is a good deal. It’s certainly worth considering if you are in the city within the hotel’s radius. Who would say “No” to a light, quick tasty meal with a good variety of items to choose from? Dim Sum at the Dynasty Restaurant has always been very decent, freshly made and served efficiently.

I always know that when an invite comes from the Renaissance Hotel KL, the end result is inevitably a food coma of sorts. Whilst I first mourned the passing of one of the last bastions of non halal dim sum places in local hotels, I was massively comforted by the outstanding quality of dim sums that were pork free, that we got to sample whenst they first turned over the new leaf, and went PORK FREE. Memories of those glorious golden yam puffs that melt in the mouth, those plump siu mais...the list goes on.

Anyway, until 29th August, there's a 50% promo off dim sums during lunch time from Mondays to Fridays, which is a damn good deal if you ask me. Or you can create your own 4 course menu at RM49.90 nett per person, for lunch OR dinner.

One of my favourite dishes here, the Braised Pork Knuckle with Sea Cucumber. That stewy goodness of pork skin, fat, cartilage, and meat which melt in the mouth. Hog heaven.

There are 6 types of Yee Sang available at Dynasty Restaurant - Salmon, Fruity Fiesta, Jellyfish, Lobster & Salmon, Yee Sang of 5 treasures and Mini abalone & salmon.
A colourful mixture of raw fish or other exotic seafood served with crisp vegetables, crackers and condiments, the Yee Sang signify the renewal of life, a must have for prosperity and great wealth.
The Yee Sang is priced from RM108nett to RM338nett, also available for take-away in "half serving" and "full serving".

Treasure Pot of Poon Choi is must-have, also a big hit during Chinese New Year. We’ve been liking Dynasty restaurant’s poon choy for years, as they use really fresh ingredients, plus their sauce is more thin but packed with flavours, not cloying at all.
