For the drinkers, you'd know that a bottle of Verve retail is already between RM220-RM250, and that's from the shops....Drink any bottle at a 5 star establishment will probably be around RM400...so from that angle, if you love food and bubbly, its a reasonable deal.

Whilst I've said time and again, I am not a buffet fan, (at my age, one has to very selective of what one consumes, and every bite must be worth the calories, so excuse me if I sound fussy), I was quite intrigued by the fact that the buffet is only RM80 nett, for the promotional months presumably celebrating the nation's birthdays. (two birthdays, one on 31st August, freedom from the shackles of the British imperialists, and 16th September again, Malaysia day). Anway, the promotion goes runs from 1st August to 30th September, and is available Thursdays to Saturdays. The good news for winos is, that for RM66 nett extra, you can opt for free flow house wine. Sounds like a dietary disaster to me, free flow food and wine.

For information, a 1.5kg grilled tomahawk for sharing is RM820 nett. I think it can easily feed 4-5 hungry ones.

Whilst I first mourned the passing of one of the last bastions of non halal dim sum places in local hotels, I was massively comforted by the outstanding quality of dim sums that were pork free, that we got to sample whenst they first turned over the new leaf, and went PORK FREE. Memories of those glorious golden yam puffs that melt in the mouth, those plump siu mais...the list goes on. Anyway, until 29th August, there's a 50% promo off dim sums during lunch time from Mondays to Fridays, which is a damn good deal if you ask me. Or you can create your own 4 course menu at RM49.90 nett per person, for lunch OR dinner.

The result of which is an exceedingly tender chunk of meat, falling off the bone but still retaining the beefy texture. One afterall does not want the meat to just dissolve in the mouth. RM105.

I personally favour a pan seared foie gras over a terrine, but this was choc ful of foie gras, so much so for a brief moment, none of us were sure if it was a pure chunk of foie gras, or indeed a terrine. Melt in the mouth, with that wealth of taste that comes with the lavish use of foie gras.
