Hai Lee Cafe

Cozy environment with yummy food
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsA meal in Imperial Rama is incomplete without a try on their dessert. Two ways mango sweet treat, where one is akin to Yong Zi Gam Lou, sans pomelo and sago. Puree form, sweet and garnished with bird nest.

Restoran Nyonya Makko
sebrinah.yeo posted sweet-blessingz.blogspot.myExceptionalRestoran Nyonya Makko serves really good nyonya food. I know there are many others out there but I managed to try this one first! Actually, I noticed every table the orders taken are almost similar. It's like these are the main few recommendations for every tourists that walks in. Hence the taking order part was fast and swift, the serving was pretty quick and served together. It's like they know what we're going to order already. My total bill came up to RM161.75 for 4 pax. Okay~lah for the portion and the meals were almost satisfying except for the fish dish... I should've have tried "Assam Fish" instead! Btw, I can't stand spicy meals, but the dishes here weren't so spicy. It was just right for me. For spicy lovers (like my mom & my hubby) it was more flavorful then spicy to them lolx...
Jonker Street Poh Piah Stall
sebrinah.yeo posted sweet-blessingz.blogspot.myExceptionalToday, let me tell you about "Poh Piah Lwee" located just along the shoplots (on the right) before turning in to Jonker Walk. The poh piah, RM3, here is really yummy! The jicama is nicely marinated and boiled in a way that it is not too dry, not too sweet and best of all it's just right! Crunchy, fresh, sweet and mix really well with all the other ingredients in the poh piah. What I love most about Malacca poh piah is that you can actually find fried pork lard oil inside! The one I tried at Bunga Raya was very wet and oily, they were really generous on the pork lard oil and sauce but it was abit overwhelming. At Poh Piah Lwee, the amount is just right, just perfect!
Chung Wah Restaurant (中华茶室)
Chung Wah is another famous Hainan Chicken Rice shop located at the start of Jonker Street (Jalan Hang Jebat) in Melaka town. Hoe Kee is famous for their Hainan Chicken while Chung Wah is well known for their chicken rice balls.
sebrinah.yeo posted sweet-blessingz.blogspot.myExceptionalHainanese Chicken Rice has always been super awesome at delivering the best chicken rice dishes! And everytime someone mentions hainanese chicken rice, I immediately remember the one and only chicken rice that I love so much from Malacca.Kedai Kopi Chop Chung Wah, almost everyday also got Q without fail. Reason being, their chicken rice ball(s) and their chicken is delicious!!
Kedai Makanan dan Minuman Hock Chin
sebrinah.yeo posted sweet-blessingz.blogspot.myExceptionalAt Kedai Makanan Dan Minuman Hock Chin, the experience is that of an ordinary hawker restaurant where you get to sit inside or outside at the roadside (with similar table and stools, in terms of height). What's special here is the "Tauhu Bakar" dish! As you can see the fresh fish ball(s) and bean curd sheet(s) grilled over the open grill at the side of the stall.
Sun May Hiong Satay House 新味香沙爹屋
For those who have great passion in pork liver and pork intestine (satay style), this is the stall that you can't miss! The specialty of this satay stall is its peanut sauce and mix with some pineapple and in turn create a sour n spicy taste! At this stall, you dont have to order how many stick you want as they will keep on "refilling".
sebrinah.yeo posted sweet-blessingz.blogspot.myExceptionalEverytime without fail, I must have my quick fix of "Pork Satay" whenever I'm in Malacca! Sun May Hiong Satay House @ Malacca! My 2nd favourite place to be. 1st is Restaurant Xiang Ji (because near Jonker Street).
Bee Bee Hiong Restaurant
sebrinah.yeo posted sweet-blessingz.blogspot.myExceptionalThe best fish ball/fish paste yong tau foo ever!! 40 years of strong presence! This is worth the visit! They have another outlet, managed by the 2nd generation of the Goh family. The texture of the homemade fish paste in the Yong Tau Foo is really chewy and "crunchy", best of all is the flavour!
Dari Cafe
Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 ReviewsIt can be hard to tell that the place serves Korean food judging from the exterior, the place is beautifully decorated to cottage-style cafe but the menu does not even carry a hint of Western-element.
