Restaurants in Taman Melaka Raya – 45 Restaurants
Although I have visited Melaka a few times, I have not really had any authentic Nyonya food. We took a drive around town and saw this restaurant. We decided to give them a try. The exterior was done up to imitate a the front of a traditional Peranakan house, complete with a pair of paper lanterns hanging on both sides. Even the interior sported black and white photos tastefully displayed in wooden photo frames. Marble top tables were flanked by wooden chairs with rattan weaving.posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 35 Reviews
Googling for "Ole Sayang" returned hundred of results about its Peranakan Food, mostly reviewed and recommended by travel or tourism related websites... after tried the food here, I concluded this restaurant was overrated, not because the food here is not good, but really... nothing excited... maybe modern lifestyle makes people longed for more "home-style" kind of dishes.
I really favor nyonya food therefore my choice of selection is quite particular so may not be the best Nyonya food that I have tried but definitely is one of the famous in Malacca that you can tried some local taste with reasonable price.posted foodtobuzz.blogspot.com 409 Reviews
Western food with Asian fusion. The must try is their yummy Mexican Pork Chop @ RM12.50. The Mexican pork chop was well marinated, nicely grilled. The Mexican sauce contains diced cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, onions, chilli and vinegar which really complement the slightly charred pork chop. It is super busy on Saturday night, be prepared to wait.posted gastronomicaltravel.blogspot.sg 3 Reviews
One of the best nyonya dishes in Melaka. Call 06-2868819 to book in advance!
Amy Koh, the proprietor of this nyonya restaurant, is a Malaccan Nyonya (duh!) who have inherited the cooking skills from her great grandparents, grandparents and parents. she only started this business upon retirement as a dental nurse. the interior is simple and minimal. paper cutting and framed awards on the wall. she was even invited by United Nations (!!!) as a guest cook for the Malaysian Food Festival few years back.posted constance-ant.com 76 Reviews
Their specialty is of course the huge variety of porridges available, the basics fried dishes (”Zhu Chao” / 煮炒) and side dishes 下酒小菜. I think you actually can have a decent meal / supper in the small restaurant.
Highly recommended! Apologies for the limited information on the contact details- I shall provide more.posted iloveyummyfood.com 89 Reviews
