Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 ReviewsAbout my experience at Charmy Snow Ice, limited seats (only 5-6 seats available) is definitely one of the main problems, additionally, the service was a bit slow too. Price-wise, was slightly on the higher side, as the portion was just okay and nothing much was added into the ice, just mere flavored syrup (top Rm1 for extra toppings).
Lil Ipoh
Air con with garden concept serving ipoh's most famous local hawker food stalls.
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsIf you ask me, can this replace any of the established (old-timer, or ‘lou jiu pai’) hawker stalls of Ipoh? Definitely not.
Restoran Steamboat King.
Anyway, Steamboat King is like your usual steamboat place. What was different is that they have this "Pok Pok Chooi" (which means very crispy in Cantonese) item on the menu. It's actually deep fried beancurd skin, tasting slightly different from the usual types we get from the Yong Tau Foo stall. It's extremely crispy and it's good enough to be eaten on its own, not dunked into the soup.
Paws & Catz Cafe
popmeetsjazz postedExceptionalI've been there a few times. And it's a very pleasant place. Staff there are friendly and willing to listen to comments to improve their food. Some may say it's a little expensive, but I find their food quality on par and for some dishes even better than the 'higher-class' restaurants in JB. Food presentation is awesome! The portions are huge! So I say it's fair that a meal there is around RM25+. Just try any of their fusion menu, you can't go wrong. Good place to bring dates.
Hainan Tea
d_luaz postedSuperbOf all the kopitiam in Puchong, I believe HainanTea has a slightly more interesting menu: ribena longan with plenty of longan, hainan skin or brown twister egg mayo, the convinient omega soft boiled egg set (with wholemeal bun), the unique peanut butter hainan chee cheong fun and the pretty good bbq chicken rice. We frequent this place for supper most of the time, and sometimes for lunch and dinner.
