Japanese Restaurants in Jalan Bukit Bintang - Editor's Recommendations – Editor's Pick, based on foodies' reviews
Tykoh Inagiku
This fine dining Japanese restaurant situated in Menara Kuan Seng which is just next to Starhill Gallery. This is really the best Japanese restaurant in KL. They provide fresh ingredients and mostly are aired from Japan. This place is definitely restaurant for authentic Japanese cuisine. The presentation of dishes was really good and their service was speedy and attentive. The price was reasonable and the quality of the food was excellent. A very authentic Japanese restaurant with fine interior and comfortable seatings.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsTykoh Inagiku has since refurbished and the place looks spanking new. It is extremely modern, but we are happy to report that the Japanese is still of excellent quality..good old fashion Japanese cuisine at its best.

Hakata Ippudo 一風堂
isaactan posted www.isaactan.net 327 ReviewsA heavy dish, in my opinion, as the cheese and mentaiko takes on a very heavy flavour that makes up the Cheese Mentaiko Gyoza.

The ingredients may not be much choices but it was healthy with nearly 70% are vegetable ingredients. Besides Steamboat, you can enjoy sushi prepped by the Chef.
Taro Ramen Japanese Noodle Restaurant
harrycath posted www.harrycath.com 20 ReviewsSuperbBut unlike other establishments in the near vicinity, we like Taro Ramen for trying its best to remain as authentic to the original Japanese cuisine it represents as possible.
Ippudo Ramen Pavilion KL
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsBeing a frequent diner at Ippudo Ramen Malaysia, Summergirl is always more than happy to welcome new menu or promotion from the ramen specialist, as this allow us to have a switch from the usual Ippudo tonkotsu-based ramen, or pair the noodles with ala-carte selections like sushi, salad, teppan, etc..
Hokkaido Ramen Santouka
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThis place is definitely the real deal, and for the prices we would say that this place is absolutely a MUST TRY. The only thing they could do to achieve perfection would be to find a way to remove the “yellow mee” taste (which normally comes from processed noodles) that gives a slight imperfection to the broth. Nevertheless the gNOMes will definitely pay a second visit and more.
Gonbei
Japanese Restaurant located amidst a posh environment. The interior of this restaurant is superb, everything was perfectly planned and designed. There are 5 different counters in this restaurant, Sake, Robatayaki (炉端焼き), Teppanyaki (鉄板焼き), Sushi (寿司) and Tempura (天ぷら). Gonbei has the largest collection of Japanese sake and shochu in Malaysia.
malaysiacuisine.com posted www.malaysiacuisine.com 127 ReviewsSuperbI finally got to walk along the bamboo arches of Gonbei San's authentic fine dining buffet in Starhill Gallery. Located at the same level as Jogoya Japanese Restaurant, I find Gonbei San delivers a different perspective of their buffet concept.
