When it arrived on our table, i looked at it. Innocent, gentle and not greasy. I grabbed one and took my first bite. It was delicious! The skin was crispy and delicate; the yam inside was well textured. The filling was small but surely it did not compromise the taste. It was flavourful. Ours came hot from the kitchen and i can say, eat this best when it is hot (we packed some and it lost some of its great taste when it was cooled). Well worth the journey.

The thick coffee reminded me of Hainanese kopitiam’s version; laden with a bitter tinge behind the taste bud after sipping on a spoonful. Roasted to a smoky finish, the coffee here satisfied my cravings that morning, ensuring a very pleasant journey ahead.
