Foodie Review
Brew&Bread
The place for true COFFEE LOVERS Specialty coffee at affordable price -----> WHITE Blend (Brazil Cerrado Sul de Minas + Indonesian Sumatra Aceh Takengon) & BLACK Blend (Seasonal)
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsGoodThe first place in KL that housed a coffee roaster. A Giesen, in fact.
Piccolo Cafe
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSuperbPiccolo Cafe is a music cafe where on certain weekends, they have musical performances for diners. So happy that finally there is a proper cafe in Taman Equine!
Pulp by Papa Palheta
Papa Palheta is a specialty coffee micro-roaster in Singapore. We supply coffee and equipment to wholesale partners. Roasting since Sept. 2009.
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSuperbWe had a cheesecake. Oh so fluffy little thing, it was. Why can't they make it slightly bigger? I can hear them retort with a why can't I order another one... And there was no way on Earth that we were leaving the place without trying their coffee... smooth and just right for my liking.
Shakespeare Boulangerie & Patisserie
A japanese dessert shop. Serves hot food like mushroom soup, pasta and pizza too.
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSo soA place with a huge selection on their menu, must be selective with ordering so that you'd have enough appetite to also have dessert!
Cosans Coffee
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsGoodWith long hours, definitely a place that will draw in the college/uni student crowd.
D'Cuisine
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsGoodThey are a part of the D'Group establishment of restaurants, which also includes D'Italiane and Ketchup. They started from a humble Italian restaurant in Section 9 of Shah Alam and from there, they expanded to Jaya33 in 2007, Sunway Giza in 2009, Paradigm Mall in 2012 and one year later, here in Plaza33. They aim to bring to diners variations of modern fusion fare that blends Eastern and Western flavours, something that was evident in their extensive menu.
Flying Teapot Cafe
Home-style cooking experience out of vegetarian, healthy, and environmentally friendly foods. Also serve a fusion of English afternoon tea with a touch of Asian.
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSuperbRecently, a friend has been frequenting a cafe, apparently new in our hood. The photos she shared showed a place in a lot of pink and with a unique name, Flying Teapot. One night, we chose this cafe as our catch up venue. The main theme was, as you could assume from the name of the cafe, teapots. As such, the place was decorated with many teapot fixtures, such as teapot lampshades, teapot lighting, teapot telephone, teapot clock and teapot holders to name a few.
Antipodean Cafe
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsExceptionalFamous for their Australian-style brekkie and coffee, I opted for a lighter meal of French Toast with Berry Compote (RM14.00/AUD4.80) instead of a heavy big breakfast. I should have asked for the toast to be wholemeal instead of white bread. Berry compote was delectable, I finished it all.
Nadeje Cake House
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsExceptionalSince opening their doors in 2006, they have made headlines in the local dessert scene. Their name travelled all the way from Melaka to KL. Friends who visit Melaka on a day trip would try their hardest to pack their famous mille crepe cakes in iced cooler bags.
Restoran Nyonya Makko
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSuperbAlthough I have visited Melaka a few times, I have not really had any authentic Nyonya food. We took a drive around town and saw this restaurant. We decided to give them a try. The exterior was done up to imitate a the front of a traditional Peranakan house, complete with a pair of paper lanterns hanging on both sides. Even the interior sported black and white photos tastefully displayed in wooden photo frames. Marble top tables were flanked by wooden chairs with rattan weaving.
Delicious
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSuperbAs soon as I walked in, I was impressed, especially by the "tree" in the middle of the restaurant. It reminded me of the "tree" in my childcare centre. Ambience - a huge tick from me.
Chef Lim Organic Kitchen
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSuperbI really liked the mainly white and simple interior of the place. The waitstaff who served us was probably a newbie, as she was quite unsure of the ingredients that made up the dishes we ordered. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the food we ordered and would not hesitate to recommend this place to all my health-freak family and friends.
Jogoya
Japanese buffet at its most extravagant, with the freshest of seafood, tempura, sashimi and even cooked-on-demand fare brought straight to your table. At a reasonable buffet price the atmosphere is casual, relaxed and elegant. Great place indeed; nice dining area with a wide range of seafood spread available; everything from fish to scallop to oysters to clams to Sashimi to crabs and lobsters! Jogoya is a famous japanese buffet chain from Taiwan. Unlike the likes of Saisaki in UOA2, Jogoya is meant to be more high class.
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsBadI have heard a lot about this place since it opened its doors in 2006. I heard about the wide selection of food and how the ice-cream served here is from Häagen-Dazs and New Zealand Natural. Mum and Dad were not too impressed when they visited, though. Same here, other than the wide selection of food, I was not too impressed with the quality of the food.
Nihon Kai Japanese Restaurant
Below are some drooling photos of our “makan” trip at Nihon Kai Japanese Restaurant, Old Klang Road. The food here is darn good and reasonably priced! Definitely a place worth trying.
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSuperbA friendly waitstaff ushered us up the stairs to where there was more seating. Both of us shared some warm green tea, which we ordered first, and then proceeded to browse the menu.
Alexis Bistro
A nice chill-out place that serves pretty good food, especially desserts.
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsExceptionalIt took me a while before I had a chance to visit Alexis Bangsar. Friends have been talking about the place for years and instead of visiting with friends, I visited with Dad.
