Japanese buffet at its most extravagant, with the freshest of seafood, tempura, sashimi and even cooked-on-demand fare brought straight to your table. At a reasonable buffet price the atmosphere is casual, relaxed and elegant.
Great place indeed; nice dining area with a wide range of seafood spread available; everything from fish to scallop to oysters to clams to Sashimi to crabs and lobsters!
Jogoya is a famous japanese buffet chain from Taiwan. Unlike the likes of Saisaki in UOA2, Jogoya is meant to be more high class.

It’s pretty exciting to eat a RM 100 buffet lunch, and it’s quite refreshing for the first and second time. After the 3rd time, I felt that it’s too expensive and the 2 hours limit is quite a bummer. And depending on the season and offering, sometimes the good and expensive dishes might not the ideal one which we hope for. The food is pretty good with lots of variety, just that it’s too darn expensive.

One can only expect only so much from buffet food, and while it really was pretty good when I first went two years ago, the decline in quality and taste has been pretty evident in the recent visits.
One can only expect only so much from buffet food, and while it really was pretty good when I first went two years ago, the decline in quality and taste has been pretty evident in the recent visits.
Volume and size isn’t everything, and this can clearly be seen from the numerous yet uninspired dishes to the large yet tasteless oysters. It is easy to by lulled on the first visit by the glossiness and the sheer range of edible items available, but it doesn’t take long to realise that only a small sample of what is available is actually pretty good. You can’t go wrong with sushi, and although the quality provided is mediocre at best, the volume will make up for it. Repeat orders of the grilled cod is normal at my table, as is multiple visits to the wonderful dessert section. Mostly, the rest of the place is ignored.
Ultimately, it boils down to this: a hundred bucks for a couple of hours hitting the same 5% of what’s on show.

It has been exciting at first but I slowly finds out that the food not only tasteless but the ice cream is just normal ice cream. This is really a rip off

Went to Jogoya last nite for the first time. The food was only so-so. Service was the worst Ive ever experienced. I can get better service at the neighbourhood coffee shop! The staff are very rude. I saw them telling customers off, especially those who were not familiar with Jogoya’s rules – ie: must order first then wait – even though no one is around to take their order. I also saw some of the customers giving up and foregoing their tempuras/grilled meats, simply because of the staff’s rudeness. Service was very slow (you only have 2 hours to eat). Waiting for the staff to cook the food takes 15 mins at least. To queue to for some of the food takes another 20 mins or so. Waiting for them to replenish drinks/food was another 1/2 hour. There were no drinking glasses at my place. I spent 25 minutes trying to get someone to give me one but there was no one around. Then I went out to the counter area and took one cup. All of a sudden, one of the staff came from behind, grabbed my arm and wrenched the glass away from me. He scolded me for taking the glass from his area! I was very disappointed, and ended up not eating more than a few pieces of sashimi. Wow. This kind of service for such an exorbitant price. All I can say is there are plenty of other great buffet places to eat – unless you are into being humiliated, made to wait, and being manhandled.

The ambience is nice but the food is just so-so. I think the price is too much for the food served. And sometimes the food (e.g. fish, crabs, etc) is not so fresh after all. With the time limit of 2 hours, it’s not worth at all. Anyway, heard that they do not have the time limit now.

Last week Saturday I purposely went to try coz my friend said the food is worth to eat. After try the dim sum corner food, I think it is not nice at all. The “chiong fun”is worst.I prefer go to Kuchai Lama name Fu Lai dim sum.Their dim sum is much more better. The stim baby lobster also normal like home cooking syle.My husband try the Haagen Dazs ice cream, it was not like what we eat at the Haagen Dazs francise. The taste is out.

I went there once and never go back again, cause 70% of the food taste bad and it’s a total rip off for that price. Couldn’t find anything special about the ambience beside looking like a ‘pasar’ (cement floor) with nightclubs lightings and making their customers sit further away from the expensive food. Oh, did anyone notice most of the food was cooked by ‘buruh asing’?
