Recommended Restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail – Editor's Pick, based on foodies' reviews
Doli Kuey Teow Goreng
No 16 Jalan Wan Kadir 4 Taman Tun Dr Ismail Kuala Lumpur
Firelyamber posted carelesslittlehamster.com 93 ReviewsProbably the best halal char kuey teow I’ve had in KL .
Boathouse
The food there good and service excellent.
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsGood thing is worth waiting. Reserve 25 minutes of preparation for this Cherry Dark Chocolate Souffle. Fluffy light, melt in mouth chocolate custard meringue baked over highest heat, coupled well with run soaked pitted cherries laid at the bottom for refreshing, sourish touch.
Ramadan Bazaar
Popup stalls selling traditional Malay food delicacies for the breaking of fast, setup yearly for 1 month before Hari Raya.
Pohkemon posted pohkemonfooddiary.blogspot.com 197 ReviewsExceptionalBulan Puasa!! What is the hottest activity during this amazing month? Of course the amazing Bazaar Ramadan around the country. Last Friday I visited the Bazaar Ramadan at Taman Tun to "tapau" some of our Muslim Friends special delicacy as dinner.
Table Talk Cafe
perutbesi posted perutbesi.blogspot.com 230 ReviewsGreat-tasting food & generous portion at affordable prices!
d Legends bar
wenching_86 posted www.eatonlylar.com 208 ReviewsDo check this place out if you love meat and pork, their food is reasonably priced and the taste is great!
Restoran Yong Len 永年茶餐室
This kopitiam has started their business for more than 25 years and the stall owners have much or less remained the same.
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsWill come back again to try out other stalls like char koay teow, wantan mee, and chicken rice. Will say no to their kopi peng (RM2.50). Taste like a watered down coffee, not “kau” at all.
Mukha
In the heart of TTDI, nestles a cozy little cafe called Mukha that draws its inspiration from a place of the same name in Yemen where traders from all corners of the world used to meet and trade coffee in the 15th century.
YilingL posted yilinglim.blogspot.com 232 ReviewsI love how the KL & PJ scene is quickly mushrooming with these indie joints that serves good coffee, comfort food and a cozy environment.
Namprik
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsNamprik freaks, take note, the Thai chili dips here that complement the raw vegetables, are fabulous – the Namprik Kapi (shrimp paste chili dip) and the Namprik Kai Kem (Salted Egg Sauce) are really addictive. I am definitely going back this week to check out their regular menu.
Pickle & Fig
The idea of Pickle & Fig is to offer healthy fresh gourmet panini, sandwiches and smoothie. We doesn’t just boast a healthy hearty palate but also prides itself as a nice cosy neighbourhood laid-back joint.
posted sakthi-life.blogspot.comOverall, it was an okay dinner for us. The sandwich was good but the pasta needs serious improvements in my opinion. I love their game collections in the cafe. My boyfriend and I spend about 1 ½ hours playing their chess and card game. It was super fun to spend our weekend like this rather than dating hand-phones!!
Surisit Thai Kopitiam
Malaysia's First Thai Kopitiam... home-styled Thai food (Non Halal) !!!!
sirburpsalot posted sirburpsalot.blogspot.com 13 ReviewsSuperbUnassuming-looking restaurant that serves up great Thai food with big, explosive flavours. Prices are reasonable, too.
Santai Restaurant and Café
In the year 2000, they opened their first restaurant in Taman Tun Dr Ismail serving Malay-Thai food using cooks from Pattaya, Thailand. Since then they have opened two more outlets, both at Tesco (at Mutiara Damansara in 2005 and at Ampang in 2006). The TTDI restaurant is usually packed during lunch and dinner so go there early if you are not prepared to wait.
Tom, Dick & Harry’s
Tom, Dick & Harry’s is a new pub located next to Boathouse, and it is just a few doors away from Sid’s Pub in TTDI. It is a cosy tavern reputed to have a nice selection of tap and bottled beer, and hearty pub grub.
mimid3vils posted www.choiyen.com 419 ReviewsFood wise and I like the nett price they charged however the setting not really child friendly (it is a pub after all!!! So I’m not complaining, ok :P) Considering there are many other choices for breakfast/brunch, revisit most probably not anytime soon~
Exhibit Cafe TTDI
wackybecky posted www.rebeccasaw.com 545 ReviewsThey offer the world‘s best coffee to discerning customers in Japan.
Jaipur Curry House
perutbesi posted perutbesi.blogspot.com 230 ReviewsLoveeee.... not to forget, the mutton pieces were very tender as well :) The interior of the simple restaurant Although we felt the food was pretty good, there wasn't much crowd at this place...hmm...yes, I'm sure there are always better places to eat, but hey, this place is satisfying to the PerutBesi :) Jaipur Curry House For a satisfying banana leaf rice + side dishes!
