Pas De Nom posted chillout-soulout-freakout.blogspot.com 471 ReviewsI highly recommend this restaurant if you have a sudden crave over Japanese cuisine in Kota Kinabalu.
Haru Japanese Restaurant
Duckie posted duckies-food-blog.blogspot.com 304 ReviewsVery good experience, but also very expensive meal. Not that I do not like the food, but I'd rather have a say in what I want to eat next time.
Tokyo Kitchen
Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 ReviewsNot a place that I would go all out to visit but if you are in the vicinity, the place is worth a look.
Yamaguchi Fish Market
posted foreverinhunger.blogspot.comYamaguchi Fish Market is inspired by Karato and Tsukiji Fish Market in Japan where the team sought to bring not only the highest quality and freshest ingredients to seafood lovers but the energetic spirit of the vibrant market as well. Diners will delight in a great variety of fresh-from-the-ocean sashimi and shellfish that the team directly picks up twice a week from the harbour and serve on the extensive and carefully curated menu.
Midsummer Night Cafe
chryshijing posted chryshijing.blogspot.com.au 55 ReviewsSuperbLocated above a car workshop, this unassuming cafe is the brainchild and a side hobby/income of Jon, a person who lectures at a local institution. It is obvious from the interior decor that he is someone who is really into the movie business. Or at least, arts and entertainment.
Burger & Sushi
posted eatwhateatwhere.blogspot.comIf you're from around the area looking for a good Japanese meal at prices that are reasonable and affordable, this is it! This place does sushi rolls and teppanyaki well. Like a blogger friend whose Connie of Hokano takes good care of her, my Netallie takes good care of me too. And it's always nice to get that little bit of special treatment (and discount) *wink wink* After one burger, two steaks, six sushi rolls, six teppanyaki (and a whole lot more) later, we're not done yet. There could be seventh, eighth and ninth visits.....but who's counting! ^_~
Sakae Sushi
This is one of the 3 (I think) Sakae Sushi outlets in Penang, and I believe it is one of the most happening outlets. The interior is nicely done and service was good.
noweating posted www.noweating.com 370 ReviewsSakae’s noodle is made of authentic green tea buckwheat and is coated with a layer of sesame dressing which blended in quite well with crispy soft shell crab.

Imperial Art Cottage
Su Fen posted www.sufentan.com 153 ReviewsThe Mapo beancurb doesn't taste like the mapo tauhu at all. It taste quite similar to the sweet & sour rice above with more spicy and sour. I think the taste of their Chinese food need to be improved. Just go for their Japanese food!
Sakurajima Japanese and Chinese Restaurant @ Penan
sunflower posted sunflowerfarm84.blogspot.com 280 Reviews这里的日本餐个人觉得也算是在可以接受的范围之内。 而且这道握寿司拼盘个人大力推荐。
