Japanese Restaurants in Melaka – 14 Restaurants
There are two Sibaraku-s, one being the traditional Japanese restaurant where you get to sit on tatamis and eat the traditional Japanese food like sushis while the other one is the more modern restaurant where it serves various Chinese and Japanese cuisines. The special part about the newer restaurant is that you sit around the “stove” while the chef will cook the dishes you ordered right in front of you and serve them piping hot.

Overall: 8/10 (Not 100% Japanese food, so it's cheaper than usual Japanese food you found. It was previously cheaper but according to the owner, since the earth-quake in Japan few months back has affect the price) Taste bud indulgence: 7.5/10 (It's just so-so, not very impressive, not typically Japanese food though~) Purse saver: 9/10 (Labeled as Japanese Restaurant with a 1/2 of the price you get from some franchised Japanese Restaurant) Atmosphere: 8.5/10 (It's creative to have a house renovate to become a restaurant. If the noise insulation isn't done well, the neighbours definitely wouldn't appreciates it.)

Overall, this is a great place when you are hunger for Japanese food. Just avoid ordering their sushi and shashimi. Others are just fine! I just dislike is they throw everything we ordered on our table even though it is almost full. They are like rushing us to finish up our food faster for the next customer.
