Spicy Sharon by spicysharon
Kin Kin Pan Mee
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8/10. Kin Kin is a clear winner in my books. To note, menu is non existent at Kin Kin - one size, one type and one daily brewed drink. Take it or leave it and everyone still stays happy. Our wholesome meal came up to Rm53 (I figured about Rm6/bowl of pan mee) - totally worth the drive and absolutely worth the money.
Fat Spoon
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7/10. Fat Spoon serves up a good dose of Malaysian food - café style. I would definitely return for more.
SeoulScape
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6.5/10. Being 1 of the 3 Korean/Food restaurants in Kota Damansara, I reckon there would be stiff competition. Notwithstanding, I still think Seoulscape Bistro is the most authentic of the lot, serving healthier versions of home-style Korean dishes at a no frills atmosphere. One thing I love about this place is the Non-Existent thirsty aftermath, normally from the overused of MSG. Probably an acquired taste but I would definitely return for a hearty pot of stew.
The Moon Bar
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6.5/10. First and foremost, I didn't come with high expectations - it was a bar after all, where food is categorically secondary. That said, the food was not exceptionally drool worthy though the hokkien mee and curry wild boar did came in above expectation.
Vasco's
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7/10. For me, the local infused dishes were really good - honey braised chicken and stir fry anchovies with potato. The Indian station served up a pretty good selection of naans and curries as well. Grilled meats - were memorable too.
Bits Kitchen
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsNo - I shall blame it on the unprecedented traffic.
JW Marriott Hotel KL
JW Marriott’s Buka Puasa Buffet of 108 Traditional Favorites priced at RM54++ per person.
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. The highlight of my meal have to be the satay - yes, I came with bias expectations towards it but I have to reiterate that it was still one of the best I've had.
Big CHOMP Burger
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. My pick would definitely go to Juicy Lucy, Chomp B+ and perhaps Peco Chomp. Their beef burgers are quite good and no harm trying their chicken versions, however do note that their fried chicken recipe needs tweaking.
Hakata Ippudo 一風堂
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. Living up to expectations, the ramen I had tasted really good and oddly comforting - hugging on to my bowl of warm noodles on a chilly night and after a long week at work - sounds like a fantastic plan isn't it?
Cornery - Popcorn Gallery
This has got to be the best popcorn in the world! Cornery originated from Singapore and this Low Yat outlet is the first in KL. I am a big fan of popcorn. I have spent so much money on Garrett Popcorn. Now then I have a cheaper and more delicious option. I would have saved $$$ (or eaten more popcorns... hehe) if they have opened earlier. 11 popcorn flavours are available. Butterscotch, Chocolate, Caramel, Green Tea, Peanut, Bubble Gum, Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream, Tom Yum, Cajun, Wasabi. Butterscotch was the one that did wonders for me. Half of Garrett's smallest pack!
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. If I were to compare against the likes of Planet Popcorn, Tea Chansii and Garretts to just name a few, my standout favourites would have to be the Butterscotch, Chocolate and Sour Cream and Onion versions.
Lammeeya
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6.5/10. If you are looking for hassle free, home-style tasty food, then this place is definitely worth popping by.
KGB Killer Gourmet Burgers
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6.5/10. I had some pretty fabulous burgers and some which needed minor tweaking. My pick? The Shack and The Bash. I thought the rest was okay - beef patties was a tad too salty and they should probably stop slapping chunks of butter on the buns. Bypassing what I call the new restaurant syndrome, KGB is definitely worth popping by if you are in for a decent dose of burgers to go.
Toast & Roast Restaurant
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 5.5/10. The food's not bad but just needed an extra dribble of seasoning. Although I did missed out on their infamous char siew this time round, I reckon it might take me awhile to drop by again since there was not much in their menu that caught my eye.
Melting Pot
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. I didn't eat as much as I thought I would - too much spicy food (spicysharon isn't that spicy afterall). Like all buffets, some dishes went pass the passing mark and some was left way behind.
Food Foundry
it’s somewhat cozy yet stylish restaurant. The menu is gorgeous, with very deliciously shot images of their dishes.I guess Tapas must be one of their speciality here since there’s quite a range of it, from Lamb Meatball to Thai Chicken with Pumpkin There are monthly promotions plus special discounts for students and senior citizens.
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 5/10 for the ambiance and maybe the cakes. Despite the scorching heat, we sat there, people watching while chilling over ice peach tea for a good 3 hours, just catching up and stuff. By the end of the day, food and friendly service speaks far more eloquently than ambiance to me - don't think I will be popping by anytime soon.
