Spicy Sharon by spicysharon
Aoyama Japanese Restaurant
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8/10. Typically like the immaculately prepared Japanese food, I found Aoyama's dishes worthy of consideration if you're in for something interesting. It's not exactly all-fusion if you may, most of the dishes served here are conventionally Japanese.
Fish Castle
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. Unsure if I took too long photographing the noodles or it was plain dry, I would give the Home Land noodles another shot, as well as have another few of those tasty wan tan. If you're around the area, you should definitely give this place a go.
Ah Or Pork Noodle
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8.5/10. If not the best, it's definitely my preferred pork noodle joint - certainly a gem that I collected along the way.
Tabletalk
TableTalk is simply a place to venture too when you are looking for food and here in TableTalk ; you would be amazed where the restaurant offers an extensive selection of food from Asian fusion to Italian delicacies.
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. First of all, there's a fly issue here. I was constantly being bombarded by flies and was frantically fanning it away throughout my meal, thought I was seated at the far end of the restaurant already. Secondly, the coffee needs help. That said, all in all, I would insist that the Ultimate Breakie, Crispy Rice dishes and the French toast ice cream is worth a go.
Ante Kitchen & Bar
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. Initially, I gave Ante a 7/10 - what prompted me to re-rate was the factor of what I called, 'being memorable'. It's different eating then giving feedback, compared to writing and trying to remember.
Nom Nom Chomper
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. If you are looking for smashed burgers or burgers grilled to a pinkish hue of choice, the burgers here may very well bore you to death. The burgers in Nom2 are good but sadly lacking a little in buzz. If you are looking for some juicy classics, you will not be disappointed.
798 Shabu Shabu
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6.5/10. There's not much nay about this place nor much yay, seriously.
Serai
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7/10. The prices aren't the cheapest, but our meals were substantial. I think most diners don't mind paying a bit more for the comfort of a cozy environment nonetheless. I'd like to return on another weekend for a leisure dinner.
Belly Good
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. The quality of food served seemed a little inconsistent. I had an amazing time chomping down on delicious pork in my previous visit but the food was a little shabby this time round.
Xia Mian Guan 夏麵館
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. Now that there's Xia Mian Guan, I don't need to scuffle-and-ruffle on the lookout for a decent Chinese restaurant to dine at during special occasions. My recommended dishes are: Crispy Bean Curt Skin, Winter Melon with Chilli Flakes, Spare Ribs with Red Wine Sauce, Braised Imperial Bean curd with Shemeiji Mushroom, Smoked Farm Chicken and Stewed Noodles with Minced Pork and Eggplant with "Teo Chew" Sauce.
Marutama Ramen
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. My char siu ramen was extremely hearty and comforting to eat, it was clearly one of the better versions I've had. What I didn't like about it though, was that it got on the verge of being a little too salty towards the end of the meal, from the roast pork and also the slightly oil-slick chicken soup. On that note, my preference is still leaning towards Ippudo, another ramen-killer as oppose to Marutama.
Surisit Thai Kopitiam
Malaysia's First Thai Kopitiam... home-styled Thai food (Non Halal) !!!!
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8/10. I can't say this enough but the fried pork was incredible and the Tom Yum was just so tasty. I would definitely recommend and come back for more Thai delights soon.
Yut Kee Kopitiam 鎰記茶餐室
Yut Kee is one of the grand old lady of the Kuala Lumpur kopitiam scene having been established since 1928. Today it's being run by the third generation of the family.
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8/10. The crowd of hungry onlookers kept on coming while we were busy feeding off our plates. After so many years, I still don't quite get the hype about the place - the long wait and the okay only dishes with a few standouts.
Milk And Butter
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6.5/10. There's really nothing to shout about - the breakfast decent the coffee good.
Delifrance
spicysharon posted spicysharon.blogspot.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7/10. I'm still leaning towards Deli France's signature French dishes and would probably pass on the Ramadhan ones.
