The specialty offered by Ah Wang cafeteria is their homemade kaya, sandwiching in between the breads. It comes with a custardy texture and the sweetness is well balanced. Often time, it comes accompanied with butter, or better known as Roti Kahwin. Their homemade kaya is available for sale too.

Ah Wang Cafe has been operated more than 30 years. It is famous due to it home made Kaya & toast. This cafe does not operate in air condition environment. UDA flat is sitting next to the sea, you can enjoy the sea wind while enjoying the toasted bread.

The business hour of this cafe can be quite problematic, as it opens from 1.30pm until 6pm only, and closed on every Sunday, so tea time (ideally at 2-3pm) can just be the perfect time to savor this heavenly delicious kaya-butter toast with the uniquely brewed Hainanese Coffee.

The method of toasting bread at Ah Wang’s cafe is by the electric toaster, and the bread is done evenly browned on both sides with crunchiness.

Operating for more than 30 years, the stall not only serves home-made coffee, but also home-made Kaya. This is probably a place to stop by when my US counterpart visit Penang.
