Yut Kee is one of the grand old lady of the Kuala Lumpur kopitiam scene having been established since 1928. Today it's being run by the third generation of the family.
Sze Ling Hoo postedSo soTried the Hainanese Chicken Chop and the Roti Babi because they're famous for these. NOTHING SPECTACULAR. The Hainanese Chicken Chop looks like something they just spoldged on the plate and splash the sauce on it before they charged you an arm and a leg for it. The Roti Babi was full of oil and tasted very bland. No air-conditioning, the place is clean but feels like a pig stable because of the crowds. Only people with more money than sense (or doesn't enjoy good food) will keep coming back here for the bland food. However the kaya swiss rolls are highly recommended.
Madam Kwan KLCC
Madam Kwan's is simply a popular food joint for families, friends or even colleagues who all flock by to taste their wonderful selection of food.
posted eatwhateatwhere.blogspot.comEven after a long layoff of not stepping into Madam Kwan's, I have to say that the food is still as I remembered though a tad overpriced (more so now that the prices have increased further)! The food may not be as intriguing as the story behind Madam Kwan's but kudos to the team for maintaining the standards and tastes all these years.....since 1977!
