There was a time when friends were incessantly posting photos and checking-in on Facebook when they dined at this place. I wondered what all the hype was about, really. Although I have been driving past this place for a few years since I attended piano lessons over in the Imbi area, I did not realise its popularity. And so when the bestie asked where to go for lunch, I quickly suggested Levain.
Of course for those of you who don't live or work around Imbi, you can always visit the outlets at Gardens Midvalley or Desa Sri Hartamas. The menu is a little different but you get the gist of it ie. Taiwanese porridge.
Overall meal was a 5/5! If can, I’d give 55555/5! Totally recommended! The restaurant size is a little small, so it can be a little packed. You can make reservations before hand. If you don’t, do expect to queue outside. My mom is quite close with the waitress so she called her to make reservations and also ordered the dishes in the afternoon.
Sakura, established since 1977, for famous local cuisine; needs no further introduction, has been a landmark and touristy spot too for the foreigners.

Sakura Nasi Lemak once is the pioneer for Authentic Nasi Lemak. The last time I dining in Sakura Restaurant is about more than 15 years ago :-p. Located in Jalan Imbi, and this restaurant also offer other oriental cuisine.

Deep Fried Nian Gao with Yam 芋头炸年糕 We were already quite full by the time this Deep Fried Nian Gao was served but this is real good! Super crispy golden brown outer layer encasing sweet, creamy yam, sandwiching Chinese glutinous rice cake at the center.
It serves long hi tea buffet on weekends with varities of food especially Thais and local foods.

Expect premium ingredients, aesthetically pleasing dishes and a good balance of modern and old time classics on the menu. This is my 1st meal at Noble House and the infusion of artistic touches for both food presentation and preparation does make the culinary journey here a feast for the senses.
They soak the prawn in wine - and it's so distinct that you can taste it the moment you sink your teeth into it. Absolutely, without a doubt - it's the best "sang har mee" in KL and PJ. Life Centre is over priced, PJ's Greenview is good but doesn't come close to this
