There was a time when friends were incessantly posting photos and checking-in on Facebook when they dined at this place. I wondered what all the hype was about, really. Although I have been driving past this place for a few years since I attended piano lessons over in the Imbi area, I did not realise its popularity. And so when the bestie asked where to go for lunch, I quickly suggested Levain.

The shop is located at Jalan Imbi..
This building has 2 floors, where the lower floor is the place where all the pastries, desserts and tables are located while the upper floor is more places for us to dine in..
The pastries are delicious and unique..

Visit here for two times, definitely a nice place to hangout for breakfast and also tea time. I like the environment here and the concept of their restaurant with foreign style.

Overall rating: 6/10 because of the cakes I tried (though I'm still a long way to go with the rest of the pastries and such). Presentation was an A+ and so was variety. There was still a variety of breads and cakes available though it was already close to nightfall when we got there. Downgraded because of the substandard 'Hot Menu', pasta dishes and that water is free but self-served.

The environment here is nice and pleasant. Pretty quiet too! Also, the prices for the pastries are decent. About 3-5 ringgit each depending on what you pick. But the killer for me were the drinks. Coffee starts at 8 a cup. Iced Chocolate goes for 12 bucks. That was all a bit crazy! Nonetheless, what you pay, you get. Its quality stuff here
