Foodie Review
Restoran Ayam Bakar Wong Solo
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsThe environment is rather classy for a steamboat restaurant, something unexpected in the Segambut area.
Glutton Street Traditional Tong Sui Stall
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsJust by looking you should to be able to tell that it is not the usual ‘fa sang wu’ you get in the chained franchise dessert house. Instead of being thick and creamy, the peanuts actually still have their original shape and are cooked in a mildly sweet broth. The peanuts’ texture is completely different from what you would have expected too, as they are soft after being slow-boiled and melts in your mouth – very comforting and satisfying.
Cava Restaurant & Bar
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsHonestly this was not the best (nor worst) meal for us but I definitely had high expectations from a fine restaurant. For the same price, Opus is the obviously the better choice where food quality and portions are concerned.
Coconut Garden Food Court
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsTrue to his words, I noticed a slight improvement to the overall taste. The noodle, which is already delicious and springy on its own became more appetizing to the palate with more chili – having more kick and oomph too.
Tian Siang Hui Wei 天香回味
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsThe reason they are charging for the soup, as opposed to most steamboat restaurants that provide it for free is that it was boiled with 60 all-natural ingredients (mostly Chinese herbs) without any MSG or food chemicals.
Restoran Lok Chee Keong
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsIf they could infuse slightly more ‘wok hei’ as well as throw in cockles into their CKT, that would be great!
Loong Foong Seafood Restaurant
Best crispy roasted duck in town The of the skin is thin and crispy, the marinate that they use masks the usually strong duck smell and gives it a very nice blended taste. The duck meat has just the right consistency of tenderness and moist with lots of juiciness and flavor in it.
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsAfter two not-so-convincing meals at Loong Foong I think I will just stick to having only the roast duck here. In both occasions it was the only dish we found good enough to justify a revisit.
Figaro Coffee
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsAs far as affordability is concerned, Figaro is definitely not an everyday place to have breakfast and coffee.
Mee Bandung Muar Abu Bakar Hanipah @ Wah San Kopit
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsEach mouthful is rich and bursting with prawn flavor, there’s simply no stopping once you have started – simply delicious. Priced at RM4 per plate, no doubt this is one of the best local food we had during our short trip to Muar.
Restoran Chan Meng Kee
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsI will be honest here, the noodle (RM5.50 small, kind of expensive for the portion) itself is springy and good with a nice lard fragrance while the char siew is delicious.
Jin Yi by Coffee Ritual
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsThe coffee here is good and Chin, the owner is always more than happy to share his coffee insights with his customers.
Ah Teck Chwee Kueh (Steamed Rice Cakes)
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsOne of the few standing Chwee Kueh stalls in Muar could be found at Jalan Yahya, just in front of the Toto shop.
