Siew Kow was full of essential ingredients to make it stand out. Looks appealing and was not salty.

I liked the yummy noodles with well-made Char Siew pork (bbq pork). The pork tries to maintain a 50-50 balance between fat and meat. (and it used to have a crisp skin). Most wanton noodles in Malaysia do not use sesame oil which might be preferred by others Asians especially people from Hong Kong. But this one uses pork lard with crispy bits of pork crackle to mix with the noodles.

I will be honest here, the noodle (RM5.50 small, kind of expensive for the portion) itself is springy and good with a nice lard fragrance while the char siew is delicious.

After trying this shop, it made me miss the old shop, Ho Weng Kee (occupying the same premises previously) even more. My favourite was the 'chan pei' duck noodle. Ho Weng Kee now has a stall in Lot 10's Hutong but they don't serve this noodle anymore. The other noodles quality has dropped too :(

As refer to the review from Jason on Taste with Jason 阿贤人情味 Astro AEC Show, Chan Meng Kee is famous with their BBQ Pork Belly (Char Siu) and Siew Yoke. I do try the Char Siu, taste good BUT the overall dish (noodle and gravy and wanton soup) is just so so. Nothing to shout out. The Siew Yoke is finish so unable to taste.
