Foodie Review
Restoran D’Lala Seafood
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsIf you fancy a sweet ending to the meal you’d be happy to know there’s quite a few desserts such as Pengat Labu, Pengat Pisang, red ruby, kuihs and etc to choose from. In fact, don’t look at the menu, just walk over to the center of the restaurant and pick directly from the dessert stand.
Restoran Yulek Wan Tan Mee 友力云吞面
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsOverall, despite the terrible fried wantan, Yulek Wan Tan Mee is nonetheless a decent place to drop by for an honest meal at an honest price. For first timers, keep your expectations modest, as I find some reviews given to this place tend to be a tad too generous.
El Cerdo
El Cerdo which means “the pig” in Spanish, specialises in porcine delights.
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsThe menu offers nose-to-tail dishes from different parts of the world that are sure to delight those looking to banish their pork cravings.
Pakcik Zul Apam Balik
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsThe crispy crust lets out a crunchy snap when you bite into it, revealing a balance of sweet and nutty flavor that brings back memories of childhood. And that’s all I ask for.
Restoran Tuck Cheong
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsTuck Cheong might not be the best place to have dim sum but I am sure glad they are around to cater to the older generation. At least they have somewhere to gather and spend their mornings, so for me that’s the bigger picture.
SS2 Hawker Center 新兴记
Only RM2.50/bowl for the most delicious ABC in town!
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsIf I counted correctly, there are at least 5 to 6 Penang Char Koay Teow stalls in SS2‘s Wai Sik Kai. Believe me, I would love to try all of them to find out which stall fries the best CKT but I can only eat so much. So I let the customers decide and picked two of the busiest stalls in the food court for my little experiment.
Kasim Satay
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsKasim Satay is probably the busiest satay stall in Sentul.
QQ BBQ Steamboat Buffet (QQ 铁板烧火锅店)
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsOverall, QQ is a value for money restaurant worth going for the lively ambiance, good food choices, above average seafood quality, efficient and friendly service and clean environment.
Joe Wong (Ah Joe) Bak Kut Teh 亚祖巴生肉骨茶
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsThe restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, do note that they are closed for dinner on Mondays.
Restoran Woh
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsDespite my earlier reservation, the prawn mee here is good and worth a try. It probably won’t blow your mind or anything, but I am sure you will walk away satisfied.
Sze Ngan Chye Roasted Duck
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsBesides, the restaurant also serves rice, noodles and a couple of side dishes to make up for a proper meal.
OM Burger Stall
The pakcik has been running this stall at the same spot in Ampang Jaya (in front of 7-11) for 24 years. If you’re a Ramly burger fan, go try the OM Burger.
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsHaving said all the above, I have a bone to pick with the people who have named this the best street burger in KL. You clearly do not know what you are talking about.
Tonkatsu by Ma Maison
Tonkatsu, a Japanese food which consists of a breaded, deep-fried pork cutlet and normally served with shredded cabbage.
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsSo based on the prices here, a meal for two should not cost you more than RM50 for two – that’s more than a fair price to pay considering it’s Publika, and you’re having a Japanese meal.
Chinese Nasi Lemak Stall
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsA husband and wife team attends to the stall, where the lady is responsible for packing the rice and dishes, price calculation and acts as the cashier as well.
Mak’s Chee Authentic Wonton
vkeong posted www.vkeong.com 879 ReviewsWith the opening of Mak’s Chee at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, you no longer need to fly to Hong Kong to enjoy a bowl of authentic Cantonese wonton noodle.
