Spicy Sharon by spicysharon
Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8/10. I had a pretty great meal here today - some fantastic; some pleasant. I would definitely return for a hot dose of Tofu Chige Soup and Black Sesame ice cream too. The other dish that I would like to recommend but not showcased in this post today - Ishiyaki Mentaiko (Rm20.90).
Acme South
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. All in all, I thought my dinner here was at most decent, not my cup of tea maybe. If you'd ask me, I'd say that there're plenty of restaurants in the Bangsar area worthy of exploring than this one.
The Smoking Hog
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7/10. Most of the dishes I sampled tonight had me psyched up in the beginning but left me sighing seconds after - good looking at first sight but taste wise, it falls very short.
Metal Box Cafe
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8.5/10. I'm glad I came today. The menu here seemed very well thought of, with an added touch of creativity that eventually made it memorable.
Marhaba Yemeni Cuisine Restaurant Sunway
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8/10. I had a great lunch here today, made joyous with loads of laughter in between. By the time we were done with our Yemeni feast, our tummies were overloaded with food, feeling satisfied, we really couldn't stomach anymore in. The highlights of today's meal would have to be the stunning Lamb Hanith, the massive Yemeni bread and the fragrant Chicken curry.
Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks
Most of the food items are for take away as the shop can only fit about 10 to 15 people. The word Shihlin came from the Shihlin night market in Taiwan.
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. The highlight of today's meal, Grandma's Braised Meat Rice, was surprisingly enjoyable. It could've been served steaming-warm, but was pleasant for its price and definitely value for money in a combo meal.
Bowl & Thai Cafe
In Bowl & Thai, don’t expects nice tables, elegant dining here, but the place is indeed alike coffee shop but food is two thumbs up.
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. I really liked the rice noodle with soup option - those had a well balanced, sweet and savory flavor to it.
Italiannies
The popular American – Italian eatery had announced their new opening of their latest outlet in one of the famous outlet in Malaysia- Pavilion KL Shopping Mall.
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8/10. I had a great meal here tonight. The two Christmas dishes that I sampled were nicely done, but nothing beats Italiannies' all time favorite. The dishes that stood out for me would have to be the Pizza Enorme as well as the tiramisu. What sweet ending.
Delifrance @ Avenue K
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6/10. Some hits and misses in today's meal. Hits - the beef and chicken sandwiches. Misses - the supposed highlights turned out rather abominable, the salmon and lamb stew were the least of my favorites. My take would be this - stick to the deli menu. After all these years, Deli France still decks up a fair selection of pleasant patisserie and cafe items. Be it the amazing sandwiches, the lasagna or the La Tartine, of which all I would definitely return for.
Watami
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. The gozen sets are of great quality and quantity. It was huge and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to stomach-in more dessert towards the end.
Bmon Cafe
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7/10. BMon should take pride of their cleverly fused tuna and mushroom mix, the generous pizza toppings and their decadent buttermilk waffles. Expect service to go a bit slow since they're still trying to get the grasp of things. They are also in the midst of tweaking and potentially adding more new and interesting items in their menu. More importantly for me though, the food served here speaks value for money! I rarely stumbled upon cafes that serves waffles and wraps at just slightly over 10 bucks!
Red Lobster Seafood Restaurant
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7.5/10. Withal, I thought the meal was satisfying, not particularly impressive, but a great lobster indulgence. With the hefty price tag attached though, the food may only be fit for a celebratory meal or special occasions to say the least.
Baci Italian Cafe
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 7/10. My pick of the night would have to be the Oxtail stew - for mains, Spicy shrimp aglio olio - for pastas, Smoked beef bacon sandwich - for something light, Smoked duck pizza - to share, and of course, all hail the Heavenly tartufo - you must order this.
Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert 香港盛記甜品
spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 8/10. Looking back at all the photographs now, I realized that it is really difficult to find fault in dim sums, especially if its done the Cantonese way. Most of what I sampled at Hong Kong Sheng Kee was delectable. If I were to pick my least favorite dish, it would have to be the braised pork belly with mui choy dish. It came a hint saltier than what I would normally prefer. Withal, I thought my meal was unexpectedly satisfying.

spicysharon posted www.spicysharon.com 315 ReviewsOverall Rating: 6.5/10. I found today's meal rather interesting. Obviously, Sichuan food is an outlier when it comes to our everyday-Malaysian palate, hence, I think I got real excited sampling the unexpected, especially the knife shredded noodles and those dainty dumplings - seriously couldn't get enough of that. The steamed glutinous rice wrapped with yam and the dumpling with cracker dish deserves a specific mention here as well. The desserts were really good too.
