Highlights of the buffet include the perennial whole roasted turkey with stuffing and the accompanying trimmings as well as cranberry & giblet sauce, roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, cod in mustard sauce and several other hot items.
At the buffet, enjoy Šunkový kornoutek s křenovým krémem (Chicken ham roll with horseradish and cheese cream), Houskový knedlík (Bread dumpling), Bramborák (Potato pancakes), Skořicový krém s jablky (Cinnamon cream with apples), Becherovka řez, limetkový sorbet (Becherovka lime sorbet) and more.
It was, I felt, just the right amount of choice for a buffet. Comprehensive without being overwhelming, and the chance to taste some true Venezuelan food in the heart of this Asian capital was a real thrill. It is also a fantastic way to embrace the Venenzuelan culture and support the vibrant community of South Americans that are active in the city.
Officially this is my first time savouring Venezuelan cuisine, but on the other hand, I find some of the dishes familiar, especially the beans, the rice and the feta cheese sticks. Somehow, it reminded me strongly of Mexican cuisine.
