I have visited Kenny Uptown at 128, Jalan SS21/35, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor on 25Aug2011. I ordered one crab to be cooked in salted eggs style and another crabs cooked in cheese. I also ordered Black Pepper Beef with capsicum and onion and green dragon vege. I am truly disappointed with the crab cooked in salted egg as the crab is not fresh and the meat texture appear to be like dead crab. The texture is like soft and powdery. However the cheese crab appear to be acceptable quality but however it is a very small crab and it is priced at RM20 per crab (I was told that it is 300gram each but it appear to be smaller than the weight as told). I ate the first pieces and notice that the texture was not normal but I asked my partner about it she also felt the same. I continued with a 2nd piece and also experienced the same. So I informed the floor manager about it and he took it into the kitchen and promised to replace it if we have the time. We wait for 15minutes and the chef came out and ask us in quite an unfriendly way and to what is the problem with the crabs. We told him about the texture and he insisted that their crabs are fresh and never have such complain before. He seems to be waiting for us to tell him that it is ok and we will buzz off. He tried to find other topic to talk and later went back to the kitchen. However after about 10minutes later we felt that they are not replacing the spoilt crabs and nobody seems to follow-up. We decided to call for the bill and ask the floor manager whether the chef is replacing the spoilt one. However, he came back and told us that his chef tasted the balance pieces that we complaint and decided not to replace it. This is the MOST UNGENTLEMEN RESTAURANT that I ever experienced! I told the floor manager that if they are not replacing it, they should deduct at least the price of one spoilt crab! He went back to the lady owner and came back and said that they are unwilling to deduct the full price of one spoilt crab but gave us RM10 discount. I was displeased with their ungentlemen way in addressing their quality of food serve and before leaving I ask him why is their restaurant only have 3tables of customers and about 90% of it is empty. I told him it must be their lousy service in addressing food quality and customer complaint. I told him that I will give a full review on that food quality incidence and they way that they refused to accept complaint. We will wait until when that the restaurant can last. They left us with our memory of "MUCH TO BE DESIRED"! Avoid this restaurant if you want to be satisfied with your crab dish!
