Xie Hong Restaurant
The restaurant sells economy rice in the noon and bak kut teh in the evenings. Xie Hong serves the best bak kut teh I’ve had so far in Bukit Mertajam.
Quite value for money. It is one of the best BKT in Bukit Mertajam.

Warung Pak Su Mee Udang
Warung Pak Su surprisingly did not provide any printed menus and indeed it was a risk we had to take when ordering a few of the dishes. As most of the seafood items were freshly bought daily, all the items were based on market rate.

Lau Yew coffee shop
Lau Yew is a quite big sized hawker centre located in the town. The stall is managed by a couple of husband and wife. Business was good from my observation.. orders were coming in quite often.
Good Master (食王) Restaurant
Sitting face to face, both Good Master Bak Kut Teh can be confusing sometimes. I ate three bowl of rice that night. Unfortunately they did not have dry version of Bak Kut Teh in this shop.
