I Mum Mum Restaurant
The little restaurant hidden away below a block of flats had some great versions of Pan Mee to cater to the ever flowing appetite of not only to the residents there but many others who had heard about them by word-of-mouth.

Padang Brown Food Court
carene19 posted lovewinter19.blogspot.com 90 ReviewsSuperbSeafood popiah with crab meat as ingredient causing us to have more bites and it's definitely delicious. Apart from that, the pasembur (made of bean sprouts, prawn fritters and crunchy, fried dough fritters which are topped with sweet and slightly spicy sauce) is one of the famous food here.
3th Road 888 (Sah Tiau Lor) 三条路小贩中心
The soup base is quite clear but tasted sweet. I just had a normal bowl of hokkien mee without any extra ingredients. You can always opt for some extra ingredients.

Ah Wang Cafe
posted crispoflife.blogspot.com 34 ReviewsThe specialty offered by Ah Wang cafeteria is their homemade kaya, sandwiching in between the breads. It comes with a custardy texture and the sweetness is well balanced. Often time, it comes accompanied with butter, or better known as Roti Kahwin. Their homemade kaya is available for sale too.
Siam Road Char Koay Teow
Nicest Char Koay Teow in Penang. One can either 'ta-pau' or eat at the coffee shop opposite the stall.

Toh Soon Cafe 多春茶座
This place is suitable for breakfast and also tea time. This is one of the gem in Penang Island. It’s just a simple stall located at a small alley in Campbell Street but it’s always crowded with people. The coffee is the famous item in this cafe too, do order a cup if you drop by this cafe.
postedSuperbSimple breakfast with coffee and toast and half boil egg, but it's a charming environment with a good vibe. Nasi Lemak available as well.

You can find different types of hawker food there like Char Koay Teow, Loh Bak, Yu Sang Kai Chok (Porridge), Chicken rice and others. Kheng Pin café is an old style café where you will still find those old fashioned marble tables and wooden chairs.

The owner, Ah Kheng has been selling Lor Mee for around fifteen years around town before settling down in Lean Thye coffee shop in Ah Quee Street. Ah Kheng’s stall is the only one occupying the coffee shop. Usually in the morning, the coffee shop is filled with customers just waiting for their bowl of Lor Mee from him.

ojsiew posted ojsiew.blogspot.com 633 ReviewsI prefer char kuey teow that is not 'wet'. The consistency and the texture of the noodles is just right. The duck egg managed to enhance the aroma of this plate of simple char kuew teow with 3 reasonably big prawns!
