This pork mee (pork noodle) vendor occupies the front right corner of a Brickields coffee shop. A number of noodle types are on offer, both rice (kuayteow, loh see fun, bee hoon) and wheat (mee and mee sua). Noodles can be had in soup or konlo (dry-mixed), and egg is optional. Piled atop a gently poached egg and swathed in dark soy and oil-fried garlic, they were accompanied by a tiny saucer of fresh chilies in soy sauce and a small bowl of soup.

Besides char siew they are also selling 滑溜溜 steamed chicken Finally a review on Meng Kee's Char Siew, claimed by many to be the best "char siew" (barbequed pork) in Kuala Lumpur. Their claim to fame is the special marinade that they use which makes their "char siew" crispier and juicier than others. Despite all the tables being full, service here is very fast. Food arrives within 10 minutes of getting a place to sit. However, the place looks very run down and the floor is very slippery.

Ipoh’s famous “Big Tree’s Foot” (called Tai Shu Keok in Cantonese) which located at Pasir Pinji with a friend. Basically, this place is kinda dusty and untidy as it’s located by the roadside. The hawkers erected some canopies probably due to some complaints by customers that leaves falling from above.

The only item that was special enough to be memorable was the ‘sar kot’ (stuffed turnip) – mainly because it was my first time having it, and we don’t get this in KL. But then again, I get comments saying there are plenty of other places that make tastier ‘sar kot’.

The Hainanese Chicken Chop looks like something they just spoldged on the plate and splash the sauce on it before they charged you an arm and a leg for it. The Roti Babi was full of oil and tasted very bland. No air-conditioning, the place is clean but feels like a pig stable because of the crowds. Only people with more money than sense (or doesn't enjoy good food) will keep coming back here for the bland food. However the kaya swiss rolls are highly recommended.

We were served with a plate of slightly charred edges char siew which were extremely fat almost without lean meat. But they were irresistibly yummy! One of the famous Cendol stall located at Jonker Street. This shop is famous for its environment which decorated by plenty of archeology artifacts displayed on the wall display. Furthermore this shop also is been endorsed by 8TV Hochak show. But my personal opinion, I still prefer the Bibik House Cendol as it taste much much better located down the road.
