Foodie Review
Corona Del Mar
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThe gNOMes were actually really disappointed as we were expecting it to be quite the feast. Perhaps it was because we used the Groupon that they may have compromised? We will never know because the gNOMes wouldn’t be going back there anytime soon.
In Colonial Restaurant
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThis place serves truly good food. Practically almost every dish is oh-so-good!
B.Bap
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsWe have read a number of complaints from patrons basically during lunch hours regarding their rude customer service and such. Both gNOMes did not experience it during our dining experience, we in fact felt that the customer service was good. Perhaps you might want to avoid frequenting this place during peak hours to avoid any unpleasant dining experiences. Good place to go to if you want halal Korean food.
The Porki Society
Its similar to the boat noodles concept but this one, with those authentic Thai fllavor and truly yum with the chilli dipping sauce.
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsOverall this would be a Boat Noodle shop for those who crave some pork in it, of course with a little more of the side dishes and the decor adding to the whole traditional recipe feel. Definitely one to look out for should one stop by Seapark. True to their name, they do well in terms of porkiness. All porky goodness reasonably priced below RM5. We will definitely be back for more!
Patty & Pie
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsCustomer Service and Good No Frills, Comfort Food. Really excellent and personal service, while having good comfort food. Classic fire wood pizza that is sure to provide solace to a rough day, or just merely to satisfy cravings.
Peruvie
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThe owners REALLY know their food. REAL Peruvians love the place. What more do we need to tell you??
Topshelf
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsOverall this is a place to go if you want a good ambiance, good wine and good food. The price is also very worthwhile considering the quality and portion of the food. A hidden gem in our opinion. Perfect for a date, or even a casual night out.
SimplyD
Redefining the fast-casual dining landscape of KL! Simply d offers an array of Western & Asian infused Pastas,Salads,Sandwiches & more.
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsLooking for a fuss free place to grab a quick lunch? Or rather looking for a healthier option instead of your usual nom? Try SimplyD! Yummy, healthy food with a rather wide range of selections, decently priced.
Las Vacas
Founded by Yusof Dayan and Freddy Azman, Las Vacas is a specialty butcher shop is run by expert butchers and meat lovers with a zeal for quality and exceptional cuts of meat.
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsAll You Can M-eat Sunday BBQ Brunch is indeed a very interesting and exciting concept. Meat lovers can relish and feed their carnivorous appetite with free flow of lamb and beef steaks. However, gNOMe 2 personally feels that Las Vacas can up their game by bringing in more variety of meats and sides so that patrons may feel that its worth every penny spent. Also, that with a bit of tweaking, Las Vacas can definitely improve their Sunday BBQ Brunch menu, selection and taste wise.
Pickle & Fig
The idea of Pickle & Fig is to offer healthy fresh gourmet panini, sandwiches and smoothie. We doesn’t just boast a healthy hearty palate but also prides itself as a nice cosy neighbourhood laid-back joint.
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsGreat drinks and great food. The sandwiches here, especially of the panini range, are to die for. The coffee is great as well. If you have company, and they love their sandwiches and board games, seriously just come here!
The Grumpy Cyclist
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThe Grumpy Cyclist has a philosophy of keeping things simple and doing the simple things well, and that they do, especially evident when you see the number of families that stop by to get their chow. It is a great place to chill out, with friendly staff and great ambiance. The music is tops for us too! Will be dropping by for coffee as well!
Tabletalk
TableTalk is simply a place to venture too when you are looking for food and here in TableTalk ; you would be amazed where the restaurant offers an extensive selection of food from Asian fusion to Italian delicacies.
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThe winner of the day was the Tom Yum Carbonara Spaghetti, but the others fared well too. The gNOMes get the feeling that TableTalk is gearing towards catering for the Malaysian palate. However while they do excel at many things, the gNOMes feel that TableTalk should also take care as not to abandon their identity as a place that serves great western meals. Oh, this restaurant is also PORK FREE, but serves alcohol on its menu.
Gyuniku Signature
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThe best compliment the gNOMes can give this place is that the food served here is very REAL. No pretense, no fancy names, just straightforward, honest and genuine food. Every dish has its own unique “character”, and the gNOMes will definitely be back with friends! Oh, but don’t let the chinese-shop appearance fool you, this place is indeed HALAL, and takes great efforts to ensure so.
El Cerdo
El Cerdo which means “the pig” in Spanish, specialises in porcine delights.
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsExpect to pay top dollar, but when you taste the food, you will see why the top dollar is justified. Once you have a taste of el cerdo, you will feel like coming back for more! Great ambiance, great food!
Soup Restaurant
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsA good and underrated restaurant that somehow due to public perception and generation gap has not quite managed to replicate their Singaporean successes. Give it a try, and rediscover home cooking. Tasting the food at Soup Restaurant, the gNOMes realized just how frighteningly high the average Malaysian salt intake is. Don’t let the rather old-fashioned design put you off nor the name ‘Soup Restaurant’, give it a whirl and you are in for a surprise.
