Foodie Review
Chinoz On The Park
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThis place although being a little steep in pricing, has very good food. Definitely a place to dine if one is looking to splurge a little. Their attitude towards all patrons were amazing and one can see that they take every plate seriously.
Obanhmi
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThis is a great place to dine in, whether it be for the fabled Vietnamese coffee, or just to have a taste of Hanoi. This place boasts mainly Hanoi styled food. It’s more than just Banh Mi, and the other dishes do equally as well, if not at times better than the Banh Mi! While you’re at it, do get the drinks as well.
Boat Noodle
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsWorth a revisit. If you are sick of the queue, there happens to be around 8 outlets, so no need to queue no more!
Bungkus
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsOverall, the coffee here was the best thing that we have tried. We didn’t manage to try the bingsu. The rice burger also could be better. Perhaps they would do better in their barbecue nights which they have monthly upstairs.
Carpe Diem
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThe gNOMes were initially a little skeptical about a Korean Pizza restaurant. But seeing the interesting Korean twist on traditional favorites is refreshing.
Seven Cups Coffee
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsOverall, not the favorite for the gNOMes, as the coffee selections seem to pale in comparison to the chocolate drinks. The cakes seem to be a popular choice, and are quite filling.
Coffee Smith 咖啡史密斯
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThis place looks rather promising, though some dishes can do with slight tweaking in terms of taste and presentation. A nice place to hang out with friends as they have long tables and benches for big groups.
Din Tai Fung 鼎泰豐
Din Tai Fung is a popular, award-winning chain restaurant, originating from Taiwan.
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsDTF’s dishes continue to meet expectations, though not all dishes reviewed are enjoyable. But at least 80% made the cut.
Gee & Geek
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsTo be honest, at the moment this place seems to be finding its feet. The gNOMes would say that this place has room for growth, as their menu has not been finalized as of yet, we are told. We shall come back again when they are more established.
Petit Noms
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThis is actually one of our favorite restaurants so far. They serve really great food , and even better coffee that really just hits the spot. Their nigh-perfect utilization of Guatemalan Huehuetenango beans are probably the find of the year for us (dare we make such bold claim!). Seriously a MUST TRY!
Cat In The Box
Honest Coffee, Wholesome Food. Single-origin East Timor Beans. We also do mobile coffee! Call us for your next event :)
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsOverall, a great place to hangout with friends, to have a quiet evening reading, or to even take some insta photos to grow your hipster street cred.
Ramen Kanbe Restaurant
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThis place is underrated, and serves good food for very reasonable prices. Considering the wonderful flavors this place has shown us, it’s a real pity that most people are not aware they exist. Tasty ramen with to-die-for soup base and heavenly chashu! The gNOMes have found a new place to have soy-based ramen!
Restoran Fresh Unique Seafood
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsThis is a place to visit if one is searching for halal dim sum. Using a combination of mainly seafood and chicken, this place is sure to cater to our Muslim friends! Although do pick the time well, as this place can get pretty crowded at peak times.
The Humble Pie Co
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsTrue to its name, the pie is good here! The Musang King tag adds a few $$ to the pie, but it is worth trying and going for once in a while. After all, it’s Musang King eh? Mains are rather decent, good to grab a bite if you are too hungry waiting for your company to arrive.
Dolly Dim Sum
Dolly Dim Sum is our modern interpretation of a traditional Chinese teahouse.
renaelyng posted thegardennom.wordpress.com 76 ReviewsTo be honest, since this place is a Halal Dim Sum eatery, gNOMe 2 was pretty surprised that it fared rather well. The ambiance for dining was pleasant and the service was commendable. Stick to the steam Dim Sums and you will never go wrong. Only one setback, a tad too pricey on the tag.
