Foodie Review
Golden Sun Restaurant
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsOverall, an enjoyable lunch entertained by “matured” dancers and “quirky” singers!
Restoran Yuen Kee 源记/文明记港式烧臘面饭店
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsPrice is agreeable but sadly, everything we ordered was a disaster. The food in general was either too salty, tasteless or seriously lacking good flavours. I doubt I’ll ever visit this restaurant again.
The Home Cooking Dishes/鼎豐 (家鄉菜) 饭店
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsSo, if you plan on dropping by, it’s best to come early as they don’t entertain advance reservations.
Dragon Star Inn Hai Nam Chicken Rice (龙门星店 SUKI 正宗
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsService was pretty quick. The food was fine, although not fantastic, and the price was decent.
Restoran Chee Xiang
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsDisappointingly, the roast items here faltered to impress in whichever manner imaginable. I must admit I was tricked by the overwhelming crowd to this stall, but it wasn’t all that bad.
Peter Curry Fish Head
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsOverall, the meal was ok albeit being far from my high expectation after hearing all the praises and recommendations from friends and curry fish head lovers out there.
Lek Lek Restaurant (亚烈家乡小食档)
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsThe total bill came to be RM 114.00 (steamed rice & a pot Chinese tea included), pretty reasonable for 4a/2c. Besides what we’ve ordered, they also have many other specialties and one being the famous Curry Fish Head/咖喱鱼头 which we’ll certainly come back to savour.
Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant
Non halal food
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsPersonally, the food was great and was lovely through and through, save for some misses but those were tiny in comparison to the masterpieces they conjured from the kitchen today.
Aunty Nat
Aunty Nat some decent Nyonya food. Not only that, having a nice setup in the restaurant helps as well.
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsAll in all, a place that I will not hesitate to recommend (even though some of the dishes fell short of expectation), but I honestly feel that there’s plenty of room for improvement.
Restoran Hau Yi 好意海鲜饭店
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsIn general, the atmosphere was good, paradoxically because there really wasn’t one. Well, if you’re in search for good food at reasonable prices around this area, this could be it.
Restoran Han Kee
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsHan Kee, another chu char place which comes with an extensive menu ranging from fried noodles to seafood and meat dishes.
Restoran Thai Krathong
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsKrathong Thai is a good place to have a quick fix of decent Thai meal within the neighbourhood as the nearest Thai restaurant is miles away from this housing estate.

sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsI don’t think I’ll come back again for this kinda food and service even none of the other eateries in Malacca wants to sell me food!
Mamak Bistro
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsEven though it wasn’t packed, I suppose that business would pick up towards the evening when students from Politeknik PD across the road has more leisure time to have a glass of teh tarik and a plate of roti canai with friends at Mamak Bistro.
Restoran Xin Xiang Gang
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsI will certainly come back but to another competitor of XXG, Fatt Kee Restaurant, which is just a few doors away.
