Ben Tdi Wei Local Delights
mimid3vils posted www.choiyen.com 419 ReviewsThe roasted duck was meaty with delectable crispy skin. The succulent and tenderly soft meat was infused with marinade of spices and mild Chinese herbs, thumbs up!
Ming Kee Char Siew
Pas De Nom posted chillout-soulout-freakout.blogspot.com 471 ReviewsI prefer a stall who is serving food to please their customers instead of earning every single bit from a customer. That's the heart of a hawker stall.
Hakka Mee Stall @ Jalan Pasir Puteh
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsThis Hakka mee stall opens only in the mornings, and sell off pretty quick. We had to give their yong tau foo a miss since everything was sold off before 10am!
Alex House
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsChef Alex apparently has experience working in restaurants specializing in French-Vietnamese cuisine, and even African cuisine over in Europe for a good number of years.
Hakka Mee Stall @ Pusat Makanan MX
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsVery reasonable, given the quality of the ingredients, the name behind the noodles and the comfort of a new premise spanning two lots; and upholstered chairs covered with leather!
Cheong Kee Beef Noodles @ Tong Sui Kai
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsCheong Kee’s beef balls were absolutely wonderful; made from a well-seasoned beef paste that was velvety smooth and not rubbery.
All In Restaurant
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsAll in all, this was an enjoyable feast laden with more hits than misses, and dining in an environment that’s suitable for families, friends and even smaller parties of below 4 pax.
Kedai Kopi Taman Eng Ann
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsEng Ann Coffee Shop started as Heng Lee Coffee Shop back in 1963; now the tradition retained without fanciful tweaks and passed on to the owner and her husband whom can be seen laboriously working up the crowd’s hankering for a good cuppa coffee and toast to bless their day with.
Teo Chiew Restaurant
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsPretty reasonable given the quality of the dishes served and the scarcity of some of those. The service was very pleasant too, with the owner himself walking over and starting up a lengthy conversation, and even the ladies serving us were rather courteous.
Greentown Dim Sum Cafe
Motormouth posted www.j2kfm.com 552 ReviewsEverything’s steamed and fried freshly before served, hence you can imagine the wait if the crowd is thick. When we were there, the shop was about 50% occupied, and we had to brace a 20-minutes wait for the first item to arrive. Then a couple of minutes in between each serving. A compromise for FRESHNESS, maybe?
Claypot Bee Tai Bak
blogalicious posted crispoflife.blogspot.com 34 ReviewsGoodVery starchy sharp fin kind of bee tai bak served in claypot. The soup was well flavored to my liking
