Malaysian Flavours by summerkid
Dynasty Restaurant
posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsDynasty’s Treasure Pot of Prosperity 如意吉祥盆菜 RM428nett/5pax Treasure Pot of Poon Choi is must-have, also a big hit during Chinese New Year. We’ve been liking Dynasty restaurant’s poon choy for years, as they use really fresh ingredients, plus their sauce is more thin but packed with flavours, not cloying at all.
Green Tomato Cafe
A garden style cafe in kuala lumpur. Green Tomato Cafe is An urban oasis
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsFood is great, staffs are friendly too. Remember to check out their batik shop and batik workshop next to the cafe. All batik(s) here are beautifully hand-crafted.
Walnut Cafe & Bar
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsNo comments on food as we didn’t try any. Asking if we would return, probably not, as they are more better cafes in KL and PJ that we can cover.
Playground Coffeery
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsTried out their latte and mocha. Aromatic coffee, just a bit too hot to our liking. Since Playground Coffeery is still new, it is understandable on the hit and miss. We look forward to better coffee, prettier latte art in future visits.
BBQ Chicken Restaurant
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsIn short, BBQ Chicken is worth-visiting not only for chicken selections, but also wide range of Western fares. Our top picks go to Sous -Vide Chicken Steak, Pene Mushroom Cream Soup and Olive Fried Chicken.
Bowery Petit KL by The Bowery Group Co.
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsNormal service, cozy environment.
Xin Cuisine
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsAll the five food selections we tried in Xin Cuisine are memorable, and has won approvals from regular guests to Concorde Hotel KL restaurant too.
Sukiya
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsEverything is reasonable priced, and diners can get a fulfilling ala-carte meal at a cheap price below RM10. Ideal for quick simple lunch and dinner too, since Sukiya goes on fast-food concept.
Tiffin's by Chef Korn
A light casual dining restaurant with an easygoing spirit. Warmth and cosines emanates through Tiffin's, serving classic Thai village style food. Non-halal.
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsIn short, Tiffin’s by Chef Korn may have disadvantages for residing in the more quiet, hidden side of Mid Valley with less foot traffic. But this restaurant definitely worth the walking, and some hide-and-seek to reach if you want some Thai food cooked with home recipes. Among the dishes we have tried, Green Curry is high recommended.
The Champ Kitchen 豬多寳豬腳飯
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsRecommended for diners looking for simple, economical lunch or dinner at cheap price within RM10.
Shanghai Restaurant
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsIn short, dim sum in JW Marriott Shanghai Restaurant is very classic, not towards modern fancy but great in both taste and quality. Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, Baked Royal Bridge Biscuit and Glutinous Rice Dumpling Rice Wine Sweet Soup are some of our favourites.
Bean Brothers Malaysia
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsFriendly service (*with good looking staffs haha), baristas with full passion of coffee. Try their Velvet White, it is lovely! Too bad there was no food served on that day. But it’s OK, this gives us reason to return real soon.
Garage 51
A new venture by the guys behind award winning coffee place, CoffeeSociété
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsIt is a great drink for sweet tooth, best during scorching hot weather, and definitely good to take photos with. Can order for sharing, and it is quite a big glass with lots of ingredients like biscuits and popcorn in it.
Kafe Go To School (Cafe Go To School)
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsWe love the “Go To School -style” interior in Kafe Go To School, lots of wooden chairs and tables, scribble, magazines, etc., as it is named. Service is friendly. Dessert is up to our liking, though portion is quite big for two. Despite so, having sweet treat is a must here, so save some room if you plan to have both dinner/lunch + dessert after meal here.
Restoran Sun Sea OUG Pork Noodles 山海茶餐室豬肉粉
summerkid posted www.malaysianflavours.com 568 ReviewsSummergirl tried out pan mee soup from one of the stalls in Sun Sea, which fares equally good. Springy noodles laid in a bowl of clear soup, topped with crispy deep fried anchovies, mince meat, sliced black fungus and vegetables. Heard that Sun Sea Restaurant serves good Penang Curry Mee too, will check out next time.
