Zest Pâtisserie

Prices may be on the higher end but rest assured that they're made with some of the finest ingredients. For this part of the town, this is surely a have-to-try patisserie! I hope to return to sample some of their other delectable cakes (and maybe a waffle) in future ^_^

posted eatwhateatwhere.blogspot.comThis is a great cafe and fast becoming one of my favourites in this part of town (that's closer to home). Their exciting version 4.0 menu is certainly on the right track with these add-on hot dishes to their menu of mostly pastas, gourmet sandwiches and salads. The three dishes that we tried will be great additions to their menu when it's finalised. I certainly hope the salmon fillet and zucchini and corn fritters make it on the menu permanently as I'd love to have them again. After two visits, I'm absolutely certain that there'll be a third.....and a fourth...and a....! Well, I've been here for dinner and after-dinner snacks, it's time I come when the sun is up...for some morning brekkies! ^_~

It is rare to find a place in the city that has been curated with such attention to detail, not just in the food but also in every inch of the house and its caretakers; the result is a dining experience that leaves you with a big smile and a spring in your step. Oh and do try the Halibut Fish and Chips, of course.

The thinly shaved pieces of meat, seafood, and vegetables all have to be fresh as can be, or else the dinner will be compromised. For me, the element that ties all the others together is the broth. All the ingredients are dipped and cooked in it, making it central to the experience. Additionally, anything placed in the middle of the table is normally the most important. Again, it all comes down to experimenting with flavours. This again Xiao Lao Wang nailed it.

posted jetunnel.blogspot.comLike what I always say, a Thai food is not authentic enough if they don't serve pork. So Thai Hou Sek is one of the most authentic Thai Food I tried recently in One Utama. Even thought the bill is a bit pricey, most importantly it does satisfy my crave on Thai Food on that day!
Lao Dou Pork Noodle 老豆猪肉粉专门店

The pork balls were good & no unpleasant pork smell however the loh shu fun (silver needle noodles) 老鼠粉 was just regular soy bean sauce noodles (we ordered big size). I was regret to order the prawn fish paste noodles because it's really not nice. The fish paste was OK but some of the prawns have really weird taste & I think plain prawns does not go well with plain soup. I prefer a little spicy prawns' broth (Penang Prawn Mee). Luckily I didn't order big size. Total is RM 24.60 (USD 6.10).
Pho Street
posted foodievstheworld.comOur first main dish was the Pho Beef Combination. It was a very ‘beefed up’ dish! It came with beef balls, slices, shanks, tendons and tripes. Boiled for four hours, and simmered for another two to release the beef’s oils and natural flavours, this dish is rich in flavour and texture. We could even adjust the level of spiciness of our pho with a spicy satay sauce that came with it.

Kampung Koh Loh Mee
posted luveenalee.comThe Loh Mee came with thick soup and smooth savory broth. The noodle was so smooth and delicate; it just slurps in your throat literally. But, the soapy broth had very strong bamboo shoot which I found quite disturbing.

Mallikas_rest postedExceptionalThe most awesome butter chicken masala and tandoori chicken. Achingly tender chicken and the masala sauce was lip smackingly good. Cleaned the bowl and was so tempted to lick the bowl of whatever was remaining of the sauce.

V Nam Cafe
posted evafooddiary.blogspot.comI would say their Vietnamese dishes taste authentic, fresh and cooking with passionate. Their chef and staff were from Vietnam. We were quite satisfied with our meal. Staffs were attentive and helpful. Although they don't have fancy decoration but this shop was surrounding with authentic Vietnamese ambiance and food. Will back again to try out the remaining dishes! =)
