Bee Tin Curry Mee at Butterworth is the perfect example of a typical Penang Curry Mee. The soup is a white concoction made mainly of coconut milk, and tastes a little sweet and light on its own.

The soup base is quite clear but tasted sweet. I just had a normal bowl of hokkien mee without any extra ingredients. You can always opt for some extra ingredients.

It is one of the oldest Teochew restaurants in Penang. The traditional steamboat still comes lighted up with charcoal. Their steamboat comes with a variety of dishes, freshly cut and served.

The curry mee is managed by two elderly sisters, around 60s or 70s of age.All the ingredients are put on the floor instead of any make shift stalls. Their ingredients are all cooked upfront from their home before they bring over and spread out around them. This stall is operated by 2 sisters and already been in operation for 60 years.
