Foodie Review
Doi Chaang Coffee
mum2 postedSuperbNew America comes with discount for additional order of soup, coffee and cake. We ordered each of these and they are great! Love it! All choices were recommended by the one who served us (not sure if he's the owner). The ambience was nice and comfy with nice music.
My Elephant
The Thai restaurant was dimly lit and along with pretty candles that created an idealistic and dreamy atmosphere, we find it romantic :) Suitable for an evening party catered for conversations! Tables were adorned with daisies and glasses wrapped up beautifully with banana leafs. Elephant icons such as paintings and toys were also found smartening up the place. They only serve set lunch for lunch time and ala carte only for dinner.
mum2 postedSuperbThe restaurant is situated at quite an isolated corner in PJ. I love the food and the romantic ambience. Set lunch menu is available during lunch hours on weekdays (not sure about weekends though).
Decanter
The PJ Outlet has both features, with its upstairs balcony offering the perfect place to drink where as the downstairs location allowing children to be, well, children.
mum2 postedSo soWe're quite disappointed with the food quality, especially those labeled with "home made". We thought those must be some specialty in the restaurant, but they turned out to be awful.
Strangers at Forty 7
mum2 postedSuperbWe ordered Lethal Shrooms from the savoury crepes menu and Dark Side from the sweet menu. Both are good but personally I prefer the Lethal Shrooms a bit more. Will be back to try out other options in their menu. Oh I like the painting on the wall as well!
Restoran BB Ho Steamboat (味味好火锅之家)
Pulau Ketam Steamboat. One for the more popular steamboat around Bandar Puteri, usually crowded on weekend night.
mum2 postedSuperbThere are lots of steamboat restaurant around Puchong, BB Ho remains the favourite for my family. No fancy stuff here but fresh food in delicious soup, with reasonable price. They have expanded now with aircond hall. I like their la la fried bihun as well.
Foo Hing Dim Sum 富兴点心
mum2 postedSuperbThe dim sum here is fresh and the taste is great! Always crowded. Somehow Puchong people love dim sum. Hope Foo Hing can maintain their quality.
The Augmented Cafe
mum2 postedSuperbThe coffee is nice and I love the BCGT premium chocolate cake. Yet to try their pastas and breakfast. The interior is more on modern minimalist design. The big tree design near the bar counter attracted my attention.
Hameed Pata Mee Goreng
The sotong taste sweet and spicy at the first few mouthful. Then it tasted spicy all the way until I finished the noodle. If you are a sotong lover, you should definitely try this out.
mum2 postedSuperbThe mee sotong was great! Almost every table in the food court ordered it.
Sage Restaurant & Wine Bar
It’s about dining in modern elegance and tempting your palate with delectable French & Japanese nouvelle all as you gaze at Chef Daniel and his team preparing scrumptious selections in front of you.
mum2 postedSuperbRomantic restaurant with good food. The complementary breads are served warm which is great!
Restoran Peranakan Place
Authentic Nyonya Cuisine
mum2 postedGoodThey provide set lunch which includes different either rice/noodle set, drink and dessert of the day, ranged from around RM12 to RM15, depending on the main dish that you choose. I've never tried the ala carte order though.
Manmaru Homemade Udon
mum2 postedSuperbPlenty of varieties of udon to choose from. The udon is handmade when you order, fresh and smooth!
Delectable Treats
mum2 postedSuperbLove the cookies - so soft yet crispy! The cakes are great as well and all the products are beautifully decorated and wrapped, good as a gift.
Niko Niko Onigiri 微笑饭团
mum2 postedSuperbThere are many different flavours of Japanese rice balls here. I randomly chose some to try, they all end up to be quite nice! Besides the rice balls, I like the Special udon. Yaki udon also not bad. They have even added some local Chinese food in the menu.
Xiao Bar Wang
mum2 postedGoodWell I quite like the mee sua, but the hot food is served in a paper bowl (maybe because it's originated from Taiwanese street food) which I think is not so healthy.
