Nevertheless, the gNOMes will definitely swing by again in the future for a hearty breakfast. Interesting menu with an exquisite touch coupled with fresh ingredients is a recipe for hearty breakfasts/brunches.

However only 2 lamb dishes or so were found. Perhaps improvement in the consistency of their meat and seasoning would make things better.
Shell Out Seafood Restaurant

Even on a busy festive day they apologized profusely to us for not being able to serve us better, and even threw in a discount as well! Taste-wise, just excellent. Perhaps the food might have been a little on the salty side, but the gNOMes were too busy licking their fingers for it to matter. Price-wise, surprisingly reasonable for a seafood place. The gNOMes will definitely be back again! This time, hopefully they will go easy on the salt!

Hock Lai Bak Kut Teh

A nice place to have your Bak Kut Teh when one is sick and tired of squeezing with the crowd.

Did we mention that this place ironically sells no duck? For those trying to go easy on the wallet, no complaints whatsoever, this is the place to be.

Amongst the Christmas menu though, the ones we felt who took home the prizes were the sandwiches. Being at one of the highest floors of Avenue K, it’s a nice quiet place to chill with friends.

We love the setting of this place, and the selection of meals we can find here. And oh, did we mention that the place is overlooked by this very friendly, down to earth manager? We adore him for his services and hospitality :) This place doesn’t serve alcohol and it’s pork free.
