El Cerdo
El Cerdo which means “the pig” in Spanish, specialises in porcine delights.
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsExceptionalI have no doubt when it comes to the quality of food served by El Cerdo, after all it’s one of the higher end restaurants around the area. I have enjoyed most of the dishes and felt that even though the prices stated in the menu could blow one’s mind away in the first glance, you wouldn’t feel so much of the money pain after the food comes as they are pretty generous in their portions and not forgetting the quality and taste, so the money you pay for is pretty worth it.
Ocean Seafood & Ban Joo Heng
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsExceptionalTo sum it all up, I predict that you could expect almost the same menu in all the seafood restaurants around the area. I would not scream and shout how amazingly delicious the seafood is, they have been enjoyable and that’s that. Then again I supposed being in fishing village, it just seems very natural for everyone to indulge in a good hearty seafood meal as long as they taste good and definitely fresh. Perhaps it’s not the taste that allures you; it’s the ocean smell lingering in the air that you unknowingly breathes that secudes you the moment you arrive to visit this small and thriving fishing village at Tanjung Sepat.
Senjyu
Senjyu which means ‘eternity of life’ was established since 2008 with its first outlet located at e@Curve (this branch was closed down: latest update on January 2015) and the second outlet at Bangsar Village II.
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsExceptionalSenjyu is slightly disappointing experience for us. With prices this high we expected a better quality of food. The sashimi however, which we did not order for some reasons, could be the sole reasons why they have survived this long. Probably whatever lacking in their cooked dishes, they make up for it with their fresh ingredients and their quick services. Maybe next time I will visit again, and then I will remember to order their sashimi.
Tai Lei Loi Kei
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsSuperbTai Lei Loi Kei definitely provides a fulfilling meal. The pork is delicious and burst with flavours and it definitely leaves a good impression in both of us. And for those people who don’t prefer to have their pork chops with the simple bun, there’s always Polo Bun to choose from, which is sweeter in taste. Otherwise, you could also opt for the rice and noodle set. They also sell simple side orders such as chicken wings and curry fish ball.
Coconut Grove Dessert Corner
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsSuperbCoconut Grove is a really cozy corner for some nice, affordable desserts to escape the scorching heat and cool off some steam in you. Ever since I was introduced to this place, it has become one of my favorite place to visit for some nice, simple sweet treats. Apart from what you have seen here, they actually have plenty of other toppings to choose; from cendol to just a plain simple jelly and they won’t disappoint you in taste. :) So mark your calendar today and try it out yourself!
Watami
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsSuperbThe surprising thing I discovered on my Watami visit is their extensive menus. They have plenty of drinks and food; they believe that they will always have something for everyone. I love their comfortable space. It’s definitely a restaurant that you could spend a long period of time there just enjoying your food, drinks and time with people. The food is up to standard, and for the price you pay, you get a decently large portion enough for sharing. It’s a little bit high but rest assured, the quality of the food will make you feel that the money spent is all worth it.
Organic Recipe
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsSuperbI definitely recommend this place for everyone, even if you can’t live without meat. You will definitely their dishes here. :) All in all, this place is worth it. I have come here on many different occasions and the food never disappoints. This is a place where you could bring your family and friends to have a hearty meal and you will be pretty confident that they will love the dishes. Not only the food is good, the services here are very friendly and efficient. *More thumbs up!*
Restoran Lan Je 蘭姐清蒸非洲鱼
Lan Jie Steamed Fish can now be found at Kota Damansara now!
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsExceptionalThe fish is fresh as promised! And to my delight, there’s no “muddy” taste! I suspect that it’s the strong ginger essence that has been absorbed into the juicy flesh during the steaming and that definitely covers off whatever unpleasant after taste.
Kung Fu Pan Mee
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsSuperbWhat an awesome food we have! The next time I am visiting, I am definitely ordering the Dry Pan Mee and this Pandan Chicken is not to be missed!
Marco's Pizza
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsBadMy overall dining experience with Marco’s Pizza was a disappointing one. They have been generous with their food portion and the quality is mediocre. Their menu selection is extensive and with proper quality control, they could have been great dishes.
Kong Sai Zai
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsSuperbMy dining experience in Kong Sai Zai was an enjoyable one. I usually control my intake of rice, however for this trip, I finished up the entire plate of “oily” rice and also the rest of the dishes! The prices in this restaurant are very affordable. The portion of the food is okay with the price you pay.
Bonjour Garden
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsSuperbHidden inside the hustle bustle Kota Damansara, there lies a beautiful Bakery Cafe – Boujour Garden with a French concept.
Donald & Lily Restaurant
honeylemongirl posted bit.lySuperbDonald & Lily Nyonya Food has its speciality and the unique tastes that always seem to come along with old and historical restaurants like this one. Perhaps the fact that the food has been serving for generations make it different than the those commercial ones that we have always been bombarded with; or it is just that we all miss the simplicity of the life before our times? Maybe both. I like this restaurant enough to recommend this to everyone who loves to get some nice, affordable Nyonya food. The nasi lemak is a must-try. The restaurant is always full so you might need to line-up for tables. So all the best! :)
Crumbs
Original large frozen yogurt with two toppings (RM 12.90), Scones (RM 2.90, minimum purchase of 3)
honeylemongirl posted honeylemongirl.com 13 ReviewsSuperbJust like any other Frozen Yoghurt franchises, the toppings are important. Any other generic frozen yoghurts would offer the common selections such as peanuts, cookies and etc. So does Crumbs too! But what makes Crumbs so delicious and uniquely different than the rest is its House Crumbs Topping. A very simple blend of cinnamon and flakes, top on the smooth, aromatic frozen yoghurt… MMmmMMMmMM… So so so good….
The Loaf
honeylemongirl posted bit.lySuperbThe Loaf is universally known to be owned by our very famous ex-Prime Minister and also for its pricey premium breads and pastries, however, unless you always dine in expensive restaurants, much less is known about the food they have in their restaurant. The prices of the food is of higher end, something you should already expect when all their branches are opened at areas such as KL Pavilion. Don't worry though! The food quality is up to par! Definitely worth the money you have paid for.
