S.Wine Cafe
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsS.Wine specializes in Pork serving dishes from different regions.
Kedai Makananan Wan Zhen (Sg Buloh Steam Fish Head
The shop is famous for its steam fish heads only. The rest are just pretty normal. Go there early or else you will need to wait 1 hour for your meal. Some more no air cond and you can imagine the heat for sitting there 1 hour.
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsThe Steam Fish in Wan Zhen is definitely good. However the rest of the dishes are rather mediocre.
Villa Danieli
Villa Danieli is a free-standing trattoria, styled after a country home and offers homey specialties that toast warm companionship, heart feasting, and the celebration of great food and fine wines.
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsOverall there were some good and some bad dishes.
Restoran Chung Sun Bak Kut Teh
The herbal taste of the soup is more towards the Tong Kwai rather than mixture of several herbs like Klang and KL’s version. The taste are lighter and taste towards like Johor style bak kut teh which use less herbs. They are one of the pioneer for bak kut teh operators in Sungai Buloh and already 20 years in business. Most of the customers here are regulars.
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsOverall the Bak Kut Teh in Chung Sun was quite good especially their Braised Pork Trotter.
Ichiro Sushi Bar
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsOverall the quality of the Sashimi was similar to Rakuzen and Kura therefore it's nothing much to rave about.
L Table @ Lavender Bakery
Pork Free but Serve Alcohol
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsOverall we felt the food at L'Table was a little too ambitious for the chefs. The food although some were plated nicely were rather bland.
Mr. Tom Yam
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsThe food was surprisingly good at Mr. Tom Yam particularly their Pad Thai. I was definitely fooled by it's cheesy name and decor thinking it to be a sub-par restaurant.
B.I.G.
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsThe food at BIG looked very good but tasted pretty bad from our mains to the desserts. We were all disappointed especially having been Ben's and Estate (restaurants owned by BIG owners) which were excellent.
Restoran LYJ (李雄记酒家)
1 day booking in advance for every order. Size is for 12 persons to eat this feast.
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsWe definitely had a lot of first time dishes today. Their Roast Chicken is definitely a must to order together with their Char Siew and Egg Plant Noodles.
Grumps
Cater for indoor private functions. Seating capacity 80 - 120. Buffet price range from rm32 - rm80.
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsOverall the food at Grumps was so-so. Their Pork Spaghetti Bolognese and Roast Pork Belly was really disappointing for a place that specializes in Pork.
Hokkaido Gantetsu Ramen
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsAfter trying both Gantetsu and Menya I must admit I prefer Menya's Ramen better than Gantetsu. Menya's Noodles have a much better texture than Gantetsu's.
Menya Musashi 麺屋武蔵
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsMenya will definitely be a weekly affair for me whenever I'm back in KL!
Estate
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsThe food was excellent and the live band that night was amazing. It was my first time at Estate but definitely won't be my last.
Orange Shabu Steamboat House
Orange Shabu Steamboat House serves Taiwanese steamboat ( shabu shabu) specializes in variety of steamboat dishes. The restaurant features a modern concept and best described as a place for quality meat and fresh seafood. Our chef also specializes in authentic homemade dumplings and variety of fishballs at a reasonable price.
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsAlthough the menu is limited I highly recommend Orange Shabu for their good quality Beef that is hard to find in most Shabu Places.
Jake’s Charbroil Steaks
This place is a very cozy little steakhouse with friendly staff and an interesting range. The price is a little steep, but I think its worth it. They have specials during weekend. It varies from time to time. Beside steak, they also serve a kick ass rainbow trout.
kwong.yong posted kwongeats.blogspot.com 95 ReviewsI was surprised at how good marinated steaks are! As of now Jakes stands as one of the most memorable steakhouses I've visited that comes close to my all-time favorite Giby's in Montreal.
