Johor Road Hawker Food
The stall sells varieties of deep fried lorbak, tau kua, pig ears, sausages like any other lorbak stall in Penang but it stands out in its hae jie with fresh big prawns.
wackybecky posted www.rebeccasaw.com 545 ReviewsI didn’t like it very much. For one this is the blackish type; not the reddish kind that I prefer. The flavour is pretty mild and on the first 3 bites you would actually find it a bit bland.
Traditional Penang Porridge
This place which serves white porridge is operated by the elderly Mr Tan with the help of his son. This eatery has an amazing seating arrangement, with tiny wooden stools (bangku) on top of long benches.
Kedai Kopi Kean Lai Seng
The braised beef is then topped on your chosen noodles with some soup broth. You can opt for either the thick or thin Wan Than Mee noodles.
malaysianfoodie postedBadServes the worst char kuey teow ever in Penang & overpriced too. If you think char kuey tiaw can't go wrong in Penang, then try this stall at your peril !
Kim Maou Cafe
What mattered most was the freshness of the seafood used at the stall. In fact, majority of the patrons there would order their Snakehead Fish Rice Vermicelli Soup (Lay Hoo Bee Hoon Th’ng). If you happen to be around that area, do drop by to try them out.
Restoran Ki Xiang
The version served in Restoran Ki Xian has gone through 3 generations with a soup base that has thicker and stronger herb taste. Moreover, the soup was not as overpowering as most of the shops out there.
Star City Food Court
Basically the Chee Cheong Fun looked like any normal ones you can get from the streets but this version had some surimi crab sticks and fresh prawns wrapped in them. Upon each order, these pre-prepared rolls would be dipped into batter and deep fried until golden brown. Prior to serving, you have an option of two sauces such as mayonnaise and KL rojaksauce.
Kafe Dhoby Ghaut Cafe
Su Fen posted sufentan88.blogspot.com 153 ReviewsBesides, I found that this stall also famous for its Duck Meat Bean Sprout which many blogger introduce. Dad love duck meat, should bring him here next time when he visit Penang. When come to duck meat, I always prefer to go along with a bowl of rice, then only we can really get the taste of the duck meat than a bowl of koay teow soup.
Kafe Pantai Timur Cafe
Sungai Dua Ah Soon Thong Shui
Enquire for their ‘kuai leng ko’ it tastes sweet and bitter at then end. The texture is more like ‘kuih’ rather than the usual agar-agar or jelly texture.
GourmetGarden posted www.gourmetgarden.com.my 196 ReviewsSlightly on the high side but if the ingredients are of good quality the it should be justifiable.

This shop caters 2 famous stall, one is the Nasi Melayu and the other is Hokkien Mee.

Goh Teow Kee Restaurant
Quiet a famous Chinese Restaurant I would say here in Penang. There are 3 branches if i'm not mistaken, Sungai Ara, Tmn Sri Nibong and along Gurney Drive.
