Teo Chew Cendol
The best chendol in Penang for years and still number 1
d_luaz postedSuperbI found nothing too fantastic, but my wife love it. Still a nice drink under the hot sun, standing and eating by the road side is an experience, and very affordable.
Kheng Pin Cafe 群賓茶餐室
You can find different types of hawker food there like Char Koay Teow, Loh Bak, Yu Sang Kai Chok (Porridge), Chicken rice and others. Kheng Pin café is an old style café where you will still find those old fashioned marble tables and wooden chairs.
ojsiew posted ojsiew.blogspot.com 633 ReviewsFound that the soup is not 'as clear as' the one at Kedai Kopi Ban Leong Ean. Nevertheless, it is still far better than the ones served in certain places.
Kek Seng Coffeeshop
Many people will agree that Kek Seng is the best place for ice kacang with its signature homemade colorful agar-agar jelly and durian ice cream besides other toppings of red bean and jagung (creamy corn).
posted deliciouslogy.blogspot.comThe popiah is the best I've tasted in Penang - tasty with a good balance of fillings. The chilli paste actually makes a presence so there's an oomph to the popiah! I'm not used to the soggy-ness of the popiah but the taste and texture was good enough for me to completely disregard it.
Joo Hooi Cafe 愉園茶室
carene19 posted lovewinter19.blogspot.com 90 ReviewsGoodA good place for satisfying cravings for penang chendul, assam laksa, rojak and popiah. The famous chendul is just next door while the assam laksa and rojak could be ordered after seated. Beware if bring in outside food.

Ho Ping Coffee Shop
No garlic oil and MSG is added. The food is always served to the customer steaming hot. Do go there earlier to avoid waiting as it can sometimes take up to an hour.
sumptuous.blog posted sumptuousblog.wordpress.com 169 ReviewsBesides selling pork noodle, this stall is also famous for it’s pig innards porridge (猪杂粥). Will I return? I might but this time I wanna sample the porridge instead. Love the fried and crispy intestines!
Penang Food - Pork Innards Porridge
There is one particular stall that sells tasty pork innards porridge. Business is brisk and the place is amazingly packed with porridge lovers.
Jooi Hooi Cafe
ojsiew posted ojsiew.blogspot.com 633 ReviewsIn my opinion, I think the assam laksa here is the best so far. I have tasted assam laksa from other places, and find it 'sweetish', which I do not like. I prefer the sourish and spicy assam laksa!! The bowl of refreshing cendul is what you need to quench your thirst on a hot day. The level of sweetness is just right, neither too sweet nor too bland.
Hoe Ping Coffee Shop
Try to be there early because the additional items are sold out pretty fast.
