San Jian Zhuang Pork Ball & Sausages Noodles

2
Cuisines Chinese Non-Halal

Mr. Yap Yok Foo has been in the business of selling pork ball noodles for about 30 years after learning the trade from his late father. Word has it that his father learnt the skills from one Chan Fatt Kam, who in turn learned the skills from a mainland Chinese who came to Malaya before World War 2. The name San Jian Zhuang was said to have been the referral point to this famous pork ball noodles sold during the days of Chan Fatt Kam at Jalan Silang and hence, the pork balls became synonymous with the pork balls.

Sheng Huat

Cuisines Chinese

Overall I must say Sheng Huat probably serves up one of the best "KL Version" Bak Kut Teh around the city and a killer Braised Pork Trotter.

Jalan Jinjang Indah Dim Sum Shop

Cuisines Chinese

Seriously, this rather obscure and unknown outlet, without a name even; serves one of the most delightful dim sum I have ever had.

Ah Yat Roast Duck @ Restoran Hoi Kee

Cuisines Chinese

A set for two that comes with a quarter roast duck (bottom portion) cost RM16 and you get free soup and Chinese tea. I think the price is reasonable enough for a no-frills meal.

Kuai Lim Dim Sum Restaurant

Cuisines Chinese

Overall they taste fresh and I especially liked the Siu Mai – it might not be the best out there but it had this nostalgic flavor that other places lack.
