Penang New Lane - Pig Intestine Porridge
jianmy posted cokeworldcitizen.blogspot.com 67 ReviewsNo worries when eating the porridge. No foul smelling instestines as they cleaned it properly. Hehehe. Otherwise it would be 'jiak sai' liao!
Thou Yuen Restaurant
jianmy posted cokeworldcitizen.blogspot.com 67 ReviewsI took one bite...and another bite. No feeling pun. The word 'sedap' never crossed my mind at all and I did not like its pastry base.
Malabar Restaurant – Dine & Chill
noweating posted www.noweating.com 370 ReviewsThe price could be a bit expensive for Penangites but if you are looking for an all-in-one place (stay, dine, and chill), Malabar Inn + Restaurant is a new place worth considering.
The Leaf Healthy House
Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 ReviewsThe Leaf Healthy House is a healthy-concept cafe which serves vegetarian food. Prices are considered reasonable in Penang's context.
威武馆(Wei Wu Guan)
Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 ReviewsAnyway, this is definitely one of the cafes that have provided me the best services ever, the staff were super duper friendly and kind to us during our visit. I will definitely come back to try some of their dishes again.
Face to Face Noodles House
Penang Teo Chew Cendol
Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 ReviewsA typical bowl of Penang Cendol consists of Shaved Ice, Pandan Flavored Jelly, Red Beans and Coconut Milk. It costs Rm 1.80 per bowl here and I like the generous filling of the Jelly as compared to the one at Penang Road.
Hui Kee (辉记大排档)
Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 ReviewsI find most of the dishes here at Hui Kee are priced reasonably and service can be real fast. No reservation is needed for the Fish Head Hot Pot but reservation is required for their Poon Choi.
Shaboo World
Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 Reviewshe ambiance of this restaurant is obviously better than those non-air conditioned restaurants but the seats were not too comfy to me.
Old Winston Coffee Garden (点心之家)
Jloi posted www.jackieloi.com 75 ReviewsGreat place to spend on the early morning.
Sugar Dynasty
This place not only serves desserts, they have set meals for lunch too.
konshoe posted draftsfromcoffeetable.blogspot.com 13 ReviewsSuperbSo what can one dine in a Chinese dessert shop? Of course Sugar Dynasty does offer choices of main dishes as well, so its patrons can either dine in and request for dessert later, or just visit the shop after their dinner somewhere else to sample its dessert. For patrons dining around the area, they can ask for the dessert to be delivered to the dinning spot as well, as Sugar Dynasty has an understanding with the owners around Nagore Road. If you are not sure, do ask the shop owner in which you are dining in about this, and if the owner disagrees to it, you can always visit Sugar Dynasty after your dinner. Except for a certain few choices, most of the dishes in the menu are offered as set meals, which is what I loved about it. All are served with a cup of herbal tea as long as they are listed as available as set meals. The reason that I loved these fried dishes from Sugar Dynasty is that they are generously served with button mushrooms and prawns, the former of which is my favorite and the latter is rarely served nowadays. The dishes are neither large nor small, leaving just enough to stuff yourself with desserts later on. Of course, what is the point of a dessert shop without its share of dessert? Sugar Dynasty has 2 kinds of desserts, the warm ones and the cold ones; if you are not sure, the waiter is always happy to answer your question.
Teochew Braised Duck
The shopkeepers of this braised duck stall are actually sons of the old man selling koay teow th’ng in the morning at the same place!

This place offers reasonable prices for their food…value for money.
Agogo Wan Than Mee
