Malay Restaurants in Selangor - Editor's Recommendations – Editor's Pick, based on foodies' reviews
Warung Warisan Asli
Interestingly decorated place, sort of like a kampung house with lots of woven textiles ... The food was rather good too!
flore postedSuperbAuthentic malay variety, somewhat higher than average malay food Average of RM30-50 for 2 pax dinner set I love their Warisan Cendol, Nasi Goreng Kampung, Pulut Ikan Masin, bubur kacang Those are the old school food i miss :) Their setup also includes some kampung style 'pondok' and wooden decor Service wise, about 15 minutes wait for food if restaurant is half filled. Not too bad
Restoran Sri Karak
Most pastries in Seri Karak are self-baked The building has a separate section in the front of its multi-storey, bright-coloured restaurant that is dedicated to baked products. Products are baked only once in the morning and only sold while stocks last.
Restoran Sate Kajang Hj. Samuri
taufulou posted www.taufulou.com 674 ReviewsOverall, the taste is pretty good and they certainly have many returning customers like my friends, at times can dine 2-3 days in a row .
Hayaki 24 Jam
wackybecky posted www.rebeccasaw.com 545 ReviewsFrankly I would rate the Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu and Nasi Ulam here “decent” at best.
Restoran Sate Kajang Hj. Samuri
It's said to be the best satay in Kajang. The environment is clean and neat. The taste is not as good as their branch in Damansara Uptown, PJ. The meat is a bit hard because of overcook.
whackoprank123 postedBadVery Bad service with very rude waiters. Satay is not that great either. Best advice not to go there. Just get your local satay.

AliCafe Tiga Rasa
eiling posted eiling.blogspot.com 175 ReviewsI like the ambience and how this air-conditioned restaurant has a reminiscence of the olden days "kampung" houses made of planks of wood combined with modernity and comfort.
Jalan Merbau Nasi Lemak
lcw6867 postedExceptionalLocated by the roadside of Jalan Merbau, this nasi lemak stall attracts customers from all walks of life. Do expect a long queue in the morning. Their rice is steaming hot and you can choose from a selection of curry. Surprising affordable and economical.
Satay Satay Restaurant
A place for a good old Satay satisfaction while you are shopping !
goldfries posted www.buurps.com 138 ReviewsOverall I think the restaurant is worth a visit if you’re craving some local food. Just bear in mind that the dishes are on the pricey side.
Original Nasi Kayu Kandar
Pas De Nom posted chillout-soulout-freakout.blogspot.com 471 ReviewsExceptionalVery delicious and crispy roti tisu I ever had. However, the taste and quality are not consistent and vary when everytime I tried it. I hope they able to have the same chef to make this at all time to maintain the quality.
6 to 10 Grill & Nasi Lemak
The restaurant is very well known at Seksyen 17, Petaling Jaya for its nasi lemak and steaks. It has been operating since 1992 (i guess) near the road side and now they have move to those shop below the flats.
Derek postedExceptionalNasi lemak...chinese style...with very nice malaysian style chops too
Sate King Sungai Kantan
