Restoran Sate Kajang Hj. Samuri
he satey here is still cooked on charcoal fire and the place is nice and clean. We ordered 10 Chicken at RM0.60 per stick, 10 Mutton ar RM0.90 a stick, 10 Deer at RM1.30 a stick and 2 Beef Livers at RM0.60 a stick. I wanted to order some Rabbit satey, but there were sold out. We also drank a coconut each at RM3.50. We were stuffed! The food was good, though the chicken satey was much better than the more expensive meats. I wished they had rabbit, as I am sure that would have been nice and tender. http://nicktay.net/2008/09/04/jjcm-sate-kajang-haji-samuri-kajang-selangor/

Oriental Pavilion
The restaurant, part of the Oriental Chain (Ming Room, Noble House, Oriental, etc), is adequately ID-ed, not over the top, but still, it is basically a Chinese restaurant. The food however, is fairly consistent with their other outlets, which is usually of an acceptable standard.

New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice 新怡保滑鸡芽菜
Hainan chicken ricce ipoh-style. The bean sprouts are a bit blanched but not limp, crispy but not snappish enough to shower your shirt with soy goo en route to your mouth. Topped with shreds of scallion, Chinese celery, and a smidge of fresh chili, they're utterly delicious.
