Fun Kee Restaurant
Over 40 years of establishment
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThe Charsiew wantan mee was not the best I have had, but the noodles were super springy/has a bite(kinda like how ipoh stalls has it) and had a distinct old-school taste.
Papa John's
Papa John's is the latest "quick service restaurant" to hit Malaysian shore, brought in by Berjaya Group. It has over 3,000 restaurants worldwide, originated from USA.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsIn the States, Papa John’s represents a cheap, tasty, fuss-free student meal but here in Malaysia, it’s priced and marketed as mid-range … cosy enough for families, upbeat enough for groupies, and cool enough even for the executives to eat at (Oooo.. the glamorous.. the flossy flossy).
Cao Cao Lamb BBQ 曹操烤羊
Well-known for its outstanding BBQ lamb. The stallholder says the technique of controlling temperature of requires experience and skill. His version is aromatic and slightly crispy on the outside, moist and juicy inside without the foul odour.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThe Satay here saves the day! Lean Chicken (breast meat) and a good dollop of greasy peanut sauce and I’ve already (half) forgotten about my lamb.
Fitou Brasserie
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsAll in all, even though Fitou is not quite there yet in terms of food.. it has all the potential of becoming a really cool hangout place, and a good restaurant for your Mediterranean ‘fix’.
Haikara-Style Cafe & Bakery
We, Haikara Style, commit ourselves to offer safe and quality food at a reasonable price from customers’ viewpoint while incorporating some Japanese style.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThe coffee here is excellent. I had a mild buzz for the next 2 hours.
Jin Xuan Hong Kong
The food is generally not bad and prices are affordable.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsLove the way everything looks so clean and hygienic with their little plastic covers. This is my favourite (workday lunch-break) Dimsum place for now.
Fukuya
The Japanese garden was very well maintained and designed. It was a quiet and peaceful place for conversation.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsOverall the food was good but there was nothing outstanding about the simmer dishes. If I was looking out for flavours I had not encountered, vegetables I didn’t recognize or freshness of ingredients that bowled me over, then I was a little disappointed.
Stadt German Cuisine & Bistro
German themed restaurant with a cozy ambience and relaxed atmosphere. Tasty Food, Variety In Choice and Reasonable Price. Great place for authentic german cuisine, imported beers and get-together for famiies and groups.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThe menu here at STADT is massive, and we only shared one Pork Knuckle because it was the Hefe and Dunkel that we came for really ;) We will definitely be back to try the other items.
Buddy Vegetarian Restaurant
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsPrice wise, it was really a steal. However, I found the food just too salty overall.
Restoran New Yew Sang
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThe Fried Mee Jawa was scrumptious, plus the egg that came with it was huge!
Restoran Krua Thai
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsHere at Krua Thai again, they exceed our expectations. The fish sauce is muted to perfection lending just a slight base taste to the salad.
Restoran Golden Tin
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThe deep fried beancurd skin (Foo Chok) is awesome!
Sushi Tei
Located at the ground floor of Tropicana City Mall, Sushi Tei is a relatively big outlet with a chic and classy decor, dominated by warm colours.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsOrder fast moving items. Steer clear of the more exotic looking, ala-carte dishes!
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
Average tasting chicken, nice side dishes & service with a frown.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsAnyway, whilst the chicken was not great, the fish on the other hand … was GOOD! They definitely use fresh water fish. The first bite goes something like this .. Crunchy flaky outer, then soft, succulent and slightly fatty insides. Oooooooo… yum!
Oriental Pavilion
The restaurant, part of the Oriental Chain (Ming Room, Noble House, Oriental, etc), is adequately ID-ed, not over the top, but still, it is basically a Chinese restaurant. The food however, is fairly consistent with their other outlets, which is usually of an acceptable standard.
