Bite Sensation
Kenhuntsfood posted www.kenhuntfood.com 780 ReviewsAside from serving cakes and some awesome beverages, they do sell freshly baked breads and pastries as well but I would like to highlight about their unique and creative desserts to my readers, some of the more special ones are Chocolate Lava (some sort of chocolate brownies topped with melted chocolate syrup), Poached Pear with Wine, and Creme Brulee. They do serve main course like Pizza as well. Prices vary, but they do have some promotions if you wish to savor all these desserts.
Sugar Dynasty
This place not only serves desserts, they have set meals for lunch too.
konshoe posted draftsfromcoffeetable.blogspot.com 13 ReviewsSuperbSo what can one dine in a Chinese dessert shop? Of course Sugar Dynasty does offer choices of main dishes as well, so its patrons can either dine in and request for dessert later, or just visit the shop after their dinner somewhere else to sample its dessert. For patrons dining around the area, they can ask for the dessert to be delivered to the dinning spot as well, as Sugar Dynasty has an understanding with the owners around Nagore Road. If you are not sure, do ask the shop owner in which you are dining in about this, and if the owner disagrees to it, you can always visit Sugar Dynasty after your dinner. Except for a certain few choices, most of the dishes in the menu are offered as set meals, which is what I loved about it. All are served with a cup of herbal tea as long as they are listed as available as set meals. The reason that I loved these fried dishes from Sugar Dynasty is that they are generously served with button mushrooms and prawns, the former of which is my favorite and the latter is rarely served nowadays. The dishes are neither large nor small, leaving just enough to stuff yourself with desserts later on. Of course, what is the point of a dessert shop without its share of dessert? Sugar Dynasty has 2 kinds of desserts, the warm ones and the cold ones; if you are not sure, the waiter is always happy to answer your question.
Teochew Braised Duck
The shopkeepers of this braised duck stall are actually sons of the old man selling koay teow th’ng in the morning at the same place!

This shop is located along the centre zone of the Prangin Mall 2nd floor and you are able to find a lot of nice cheap Penang food here.
Kopi Cine
A fun, simple café with an all day & night menu. The concept is to blend the old style Penang coffees with the latest Italian styles. As for the food, it's mostly international (tapas, salads...), with a bit of a Malaysian twist for some dishes. Desserts are definitely worth a try, especially the ones with gula melaka icecream. Asian movies are shown in the evening in a room at the back of the restaurant. There's also a reading room, with loads of documentation about olden times' Penang.
