sister brought 4 of us to try this restaurant for the first time. by looking at what others were having at nearby tables was enough to say to myself 'love at first sight'. we had nasi kerabu, nasi lemak, honey squid and grilled chicken and 6 sticks of beef satay...
To conclude this, the meal at Rakuzen was pretty good. But if I could change the evening, I would have taken the Katsu-don and skewered meats of the menu. Instead, I would have opted for a few other dishes found on the Hokkaido Festival specials!
Al-Fungi Aglio Olio Spaghetti has a very pleasant smell of herbs with generous chunks of fungi all over. Coupled with tender and flavorful chicken breasts, it suits my appetite very well as it's not as spicy as the usual Aglio Olio I've tried before.
Pretty floral patterned chinaware plates, too bad they couldn't come with the chinaware tea set too. Macarons were ok, but nothing to shout about. The environment is quite relaxing, despite the fact that I was sitting in the middle of a shopping mall.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with the quality of the food as in their taste. Service I wasn't that satisfied. Well maybe they are still new since the restaurant had just open.
The price is at the higher side for the food, since we have so many better options with better price out there in the market. Nonetheless the ambiance is nice, but they might need some improvement on service.
