Foodie Review
Tao Chinese Cuisine
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsIt was fortunate then, that we managed to try his wonderful contemporary chinese cuisine at Tao, Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur, over the weekend.
Little Heritage House,
Inspired by the rich culture of Nyonya cuisine, Little Heritage House is nicely decorated with all the heirlooms characteristic of the straits chinese, from a bygone era. There is an upstairs area as well that’s perfect for intimate functions. Here you will see a fascinating glass display of old Nyonya footwear, jewelry, relics and paraphernalia.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThe flavour was good, but it could have done with a little bit more rempah (fresh spices) – it lacked that Nyonya rempah kick that I look for in any good Nyonya dish.
Cellar Door
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsWhen the meal is finally over, it is traditional (and almost impossible) to not fall asleep on the big leather coach at Cellar Door. Look out for these Sunday lunches which might commence next year. Stay tuned!
Doubletree by Hilton
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsSoftly illuminated in the room’s center is a long bar that dominates one side of the dining room and is comfortable enough to encourage casual conversations.
One Six Five
The lobby lounge of the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur recently underwent a makeover. The resulting beauty queen is the stylish and contemporary, yet warm and welcoming, One Six Five.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsNegroni is an awesome cocktail. Not everybody’s cup of tea, but if you like Campari and the bitterness that comes with it, you will love the Negroni.
Kampachi by Equatorial
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThis wonderful Omakase dinner ended on a high note, with a delicious helping of some super expensive Japanese Melon (RM75) and kinkan (Japanese candied kumquats).
Amadeus Bistro & Wine Bar
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsA great Sunday Roast Session and it was a pleasure being in the company of young ones who are so musically talented!
Kyoto Lab
Nestled above The Pool is Kyoto Lab, a Japanese restaurant that will surely tantalize one’s tastebud with recreations of original Japanese favourites. It is traditional Japanese fare with a nouveau twist like no other.
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsA great night out. Will definitely be revisiting for the other dishes on the menu.

CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsSandwiches are nicely heaped with fresh vegetables and chicken, beef, or crab soaked in piquant Asian sauces.
Aria Italian Dining & Whisky Bar
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsAria serves some of the most affordable yet delectable Italian cuisine in Bukit Damansara. It has a cosy, friendly environment and its pasta and salad lunch buffet is the best value meal in town.
Yeast Bistronomy
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsNot very appetizing at all. My other mate’s Quiche Lorraine was dry and lacked ingredients. Oh, what a let down.
Pudu Wai Sik Kai (为食街)
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsMost of these stalls are closed on Mondays, and come alive in the evening till late.
After Ate Dessert Bar
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsYes indeed, After Ate is the perfect place for novices and connoisseurs alike, to explore and play in the alluring world of Champagne and desserts. Highly recommended you check yourself in for some therapy ASAP!
Garibaldi Italian Restaurant
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsIt was one of the best wine-food pairing meals I’ve had in 2012. I think the year is going to close with a bang, if it hasn’t already.
OneSixFive
CCFoodTravel posted ccfoodtravel.com 498 ReviewsThe amazing bar with mirror panels that slides away to reveal alcohol bottles, in the evenings!
