Chinese Restaurants in Kimberly Street, Penang – 13 Restaurants
Goh Huat Seng Restaurant
It is one of the oldest Teochew restaurants in Penang. The traditional steamboat still comes lighted up with charcoal. Their steamboat comes with a variety of dishes, freshly cut and served.
It was a good experience to indulge ourselves in this classic setting. We will be back for this Teochew cuisine again.

Kimberley Street Duck Koay Chiap
The soup is just right for my taste without too much of bitterness from the herbs that are used in the braising of the duck.
SuperbThe duck meats are properly braised and tender while the herbal soup is flavorful without bitterness. It is then garnished with coriander leaves and fried onions.

Belacan Chicken Hawker Stall
The chicken meat is tender and the belacan taste is well marinated into the meat. The taste is just nice for my taste bud as it is not overly pungent. There are many choice ofthe chicken that you can buy from the stall, namely the chicken wings, drumsticks, thighs, breast meat, etc.
Ah Hai Koay Teow Th’ng
Do not go too late as the salty taste of the fish balls would be infused into the soup stock.
The soup is clearer than the one at 7 Road but I prefer duck meat more. This is not a bad one too but the fish ball lose out a little bit comparing to the one at Armenian Street.
